"Very pleasantly surprised here at Shields MRI in Portsmouth NH! After a poor experience at an imaging location in Derry recently, the staff at Shields were clear in their communication and the MRI equipment is state-of-the-art and ultra-fast. What might've taken 45 minutes or more at other locations was approximately in the 12 to 15 minute range here in Portsmouth. I will only come to Shields from now on!! Highly recommended!!"
"I arrived 5 minutes prior to my "appointment " time of 7:40 am. No one was at reception. Someone arrived at 7:39 and told me they don't start till 7:40 and to wait, she flipped a counter top sign around saying to wait. I waited 2 minutes and had to re approach to desk, 5 feet away. The receptionist was irritated when I told her my appointment was at 7:40. She told me my appointment was at 8 am. I showed her my text telling my my appointment was at 7:40 and that they should be clear about the proper time to be there, if the text was wrong consider making it accurate. I got some bizarre response that people are usually late and need to be told to come early? Seriously I don't need to be managed that way, and the threat of a $50 late fee to boot (IN THE TEXT). I mentioned it would be nice to have better communication and to treat people like adults and not like children. She said that the way it is, no interest in changing anything and had no interest in being pleasant about it. The rest of the MRI staff were better but I was put off from the start. I reviewed Atlantic Orthopedic last week and gave them stellar marks.. This is in their space."
"Had a MRI done today in Portsmouth. Both ladies who worked with me were absolutely Wonderful! They were patient and kind, explaining everything along the way. I would recommend both of these ladies if you have any fears of this procedure! The machine they had was very new, it had a larger opening and I didn't feel clostrophobic at all! I can say this has been my best MRI experience ever! Thank you all!"
"I had my scheduled MRI and Arthrogram with Shields pre-approved by my insurance company. However, on the day of the appointment, only the MRI was scheduled. I made a call to Shields scheduling department to confirm that they had orders from my doctors office for both procedures. Their response was yes! At that point, it appears the order for the Arthrogram was not communicated/received by the Portsmouth Office. I then proceeded to cancel the MRI appointment. I had already waited two weeks to get both procedures done. My trust in Shields went from high to zero! In my opinion, if they can't get the scheduling portion of the customer experience correct, what makes me think that they can get testing portion correct!"
