"They installed my original pool liner ..now that it needs to be replaced they refuse to give me the liner measurements that they have"
"Buyer beware! We bought an above ground pool from surfside in Amherst after moving to nearby Milford. We bought the all inclusive deluxe package. After waiting a month to install, the installers changed the install date three times. They told me I should schedule water delivery for the day after the pool installation, They garunteed it would only take one day to install. When the installers showed up they did two hours of work tearing up the backyard with a bobcat before they advised me that I they could not continue work as i would need a gravel delivery. That I would need to pay 500 dollars for a Gravel delivery as well as 100 additional for the installers to come back the next day. I asked if they would be done before the water delivery and was told "i hope so but thats not my problem" even though they told me to schedule it! The gravel was delivered and left a bill on the bobcat that thankfully I didn't have to pay... on my installation included pool. The next day the installers came back, took my 100 and finished the pool less than an hour before water delivery and left. After the pool was filled I called the store and asked about turning the pool filter on and getting our "pool school" that was included on the package. They said they would send someone over. The next day while I was out, my wife met a man who plugged in the pool and dropped a "bomb" in it to start the chemicals and then left. My wife called me in tears telling me he was there for 10 minutes and gone. At this point it has been 2 months since pool install. I have called the company no less than 7 times and left messages for the installer manager "Dennis" to call us back to show us how to use this pool as per our package. Never recieved a call back. We have stopped trying. We learned what we needed to learn from the internet and a competing company. We will not use surfside ever again and advise you to stay away as well. TLDR - solid well built pool, terrible customer service and installers that exhort extra money."
"We had Surfside install an above ground pool a few years ago. Last summer, it was not usable due to huge rips in the liner, which was still under warranty. They were unable to replace it last summer due to supply chain issues. I've called them again this spring to see about replacing it now (hopefully the pool structure itself hasn't failed by now), but they are not responsive."
"I have been calling this company weekly for almost two months now about a pool installation. The first few times I was told someone would be in touch with me in 24-48 hours, nothing. The fourth time I called I was told that the process was actually to e-mail the sales rep with my pool details (type, size, yard placement, etc) and include pictures of the yard and any access points. I went ahead and did all this and I still sit here with no reply weeks later. I understand that this industry is extremely busy right now but I would think they could at least provide some acknowledgement considering that this is a potential $70-$80k job for them. Disappointing to say the least"
"Went in with green water and a young girl tested my water for me. Explained everything I needed and why I needed it, and within a few days my water was looking great again. And compared to a few other pool shop locations the prices for the chemicals are cheaper for good product. Will recommend to friends."
