"I visited the store for the first time yesterday; it's beautiful! I went for a fitting and to buy some bras. Sophia was super sweet and very helpful. "I took my mother, who is an older lady, to Forty Winks as her old lingerie store closed and she needed new things. My mother has a strong preference to have someone advise her on fit, and she was nervous about going to a new place. The woman who worked with her was absolutely lovely--helpful and reassuring, but also showed great good manners and respect for my mother. I have noted to my dismay that people will often speak condescendingly to older folks, but this salesperson was very practical and professional, addressing my mother directly as a grown woman and making recommendations and suggestions regarding fit. My mother found two good options and is happy with her purchases. The two ladies working at the store also made themselves available as we made our way down the stairs, since it had begun to rain and we were concerned it would be slippery. Two things to be aware of: there is a set of outdoor stairs to get into or out of the shop, so if mobility is a concern it may be worth calling ahead to see if there's an elevator in back of the building. Also, the shop isn't cheap. However, for something a person is going to wear very regularly, and will have a significant impact on the person's comfort, it seems like a worthwhile expense."
