"I would never send my child to there summer program ever again…i paid for the entire summer. My child was being bullied an no longer wanted to attend the program. My daughter hair was being pulled multiple times by a boy in the program staff didnt care and when addressed said they were playing a game of whose hair hurt the most! Waste of money all they do is go to the beach everyday theres a pool the kids can’t even enjoy! The lack of care was it for me didnt get a refund although didn’t attend the last two weeks. Place is racist!"
"The City of New Bedford never ceases to amaze me. Forget about the lousy pot hole “repairs”. So after a few years of complaining about the very poor condition of the tennis courts at Buttonwood Park the city finally resurfaced the courts in early June...great. I commend them for that. Tennis around here is a summer sport so everyone is thinking it will be up for play in a few days. But not so fast.....the courts are resurfaced ....but no freakin nets. Ok, “so they are on order”. A few weeks go by and low and behold the new nets are finally installed last week, everything is perfect. Called friends to come play today because from the parking lot it’s ready to go. But nay, nay, nay, we go there to play and all the freakin gates to the courts are paid locked. Maybe next week the City of New Bedford will have a lunch buffet for hungry children in some building then lock the doors so they can’t get in to eat. Great job Parks Department on your incompetence. UPDATE: After getting in touch with the Parks Department and also contacting city counselor about my displeasure I got positive feedback from the Parks Department and also from some city counselors. Seems like the contractor fixing the tennis courts needed a little prodding to get the tennis courts up and running. I am pleased to say that the tennis courts were finished within a week after everyone involved was notified of the situation."
"This department makes these kids hang at the sites in pouring rain when there are no kids and it's flooding. No so smart!!"
