"Had breakfast there for the first time it was the hangover special sizable amount. The hash was great , love the potatoes ,eggs were done just right. enjoy speaking with the waitress who has been employed there for 36 years “ i’ll be back”.."

"My husband and I stopped in for lunch after moving back home. For Portland,I expected that friendly and family like atmosphere I had grown up around in this area. We had never been to Ruski’s in the past, so we didn’t know whether you order at the bar or at the if they have servers. My husband decided that he would ask, and the lady rudely replied with, “you wait your turn.” (Which we know??? We just asked a simple question???) he responded with, “no worries, you’re all good!” And she just said, “No. I am not good.” Sounds like she needs serious help. She came and threw the menus in our faces, which is unbelievably unacceptable, so we decided to just leave and not bother. Instead of ruskis, I would highly recommend The Ugly Duckling right down the road! Service there is remarkable and the food is delicious. Or if you’re looking for a beer, drive 5 minutes to Bissell brothers and get a local Maine experience. Do not waste your money at this trashy bar ❤️"

"I visited this place when I was at a conference and it was so cool! Recommended by a friend, I made my way here for breakfast and had a stellar experience. The vibe is warm and inviting, the food was ample and delicious, and the owner is kind and friendly — we had a really nice chat. I left full, happy, and looking forward to the next visit. "You can never go wrong with Ruski’s. It’s a small dive bar with decent food and drinks. The service is awesome with attentive bartenders and wait staff. I highly recommend the daily specials. Recently, they have not had the homemade hot sauce, but that was incredible when they had it. Not really vegan-friendly but there are vegetarian options. Homemade baked beans are fantastic, as well as the Benedict, and the hot dogs. The burgers are good and the sandwiches are big! Breakfast is very good, especially for a bar."

"This place is an absolute gem. If you like fine dining and white glove service, go somewhere else! This is an old townie haunt where every seat at the bar is full in the morning and you'll be the odd man out if you order a coffee. Food was great, service was great. We only wish we had found this place sooner!"
