"Everything is always done right here. Food is prepared by someone who loves great food and cares about what they put out. Don't know if they still have homemade doughnut desserts and I'm not usually a dessert guy but these will make you make an exception. Try the savory crepes while they are still in season. Fall/winter I believe. Best I've had outside of Paris. Was great to visit again, wish I still lived in the area. P.S. Brie and her sister and the rest of the staff were delightful and very personable."
"I always enjoy my visits to Frog and Turtle. They have a nice outdoor space upstairs with a great view of the river & falls & sunset. They have indoor dining on 2 levels. Food is always delicious. Staff is great. Live music is always fun. My friend and I shared the burger and wings. Always good choices!"
"The Frog and Turtle is a gem. My wife and I have been coming up to Maine to see Chef James & his amazing staff ever since his days at Uffa some 20 years ago. The staff is always courteous and friendly, always taking the time to make you feel welcome no matter how busy it is in there. The drinks are creative and fantastic. And the food.....the food is simply amazing, all made to order and with beautiful presentation. If you go on the weekend, there is always top notch live local music, which just adds to the experience. And if you go on a Sunday, you'll be treated to the best brunch in New England! Portland is known for an amazing food scene. That said, my trips to Maine are always focused around a trip to Westbrook for the best spot around."
"We had my daughter’s Baby Brunch last Saturday and it was a huge success. We rented the top floor for the occasion and the food was absolutely delicious!!! We were blessed with two amazing staff members who went out of their way to make everything perfect. I would like to add that I was impressed with the owner who checked in with us a few times to make sure we were happy with everything. Thank you so much!!!"
