"It is a beautiful atmosphere. Service mediocre and food and food presentation below average. Donuts were not home made and they were just glazed donuts with vanilla ice cream. Duck not cooked properly (not the temperature but preparation). Overall not impressed."

"We were so excited to dine at Earth at Hidden pond this past Friday night and sadly we ended up very disappointed. The atmosphere is lovely, cocktails were good. Our waiter Aidan was excellent. But the food was not anywhere near up to par. We started with Tuna Tartare and the poached oysters. The tuna was very good, the oysters were disgusting…. The vegetables or whatever were in the dish were crunchy next to the mushy oysters and the tiny little dollop of caviar was laughable. Why even bother at the point. No flavor and bad texture. For our Second Course we had chicken coq au vin and cavatelli. The chicken dish was good. The cavatelli was awful. Bland with a fishy taste Just no. Third course was Halibut and Steak. The Halibut itself was good but had zero seasonings and the veggies that accompanied it were undercooked- Brussels sprouts were hard as a rock!! There was some sort of sauce on the plate that had good flavor you just had to chase it around the plate with a forkful of the halibut lol Then the scallops… I love scallops and these were gross. Broiled and cooked only on one side, no seasonings and no flavor at all. I took one bite of them and spit it out. The steak was good but again the veggies were hard and not cooked. For dessert we had the doughnuts and they were outstanding. We also had the flourless chocolate cake which was good. To sum it up it was probably 50% good and 50% bad. With the good being very good and the bad VERY bad. I still can’t get the taste & texture of the oysters out of my head and it makes my stomach flip every time I think about it. I generally don’t write poor reviews but this one seemed warranted. One and done for us, we wouldn’t go back or recommend it."

"Food was amazing, and the atmosphere and service were amazing. The mood was very romantic and every dish was delicious. We loved the tasting menu and 4 courses was enough to make us feel stuffed. Would love to return at some point"

"Earth will become one of our "special" places to dine for the future. We were very surprised at the excellent locally-sourced prix fixe menu. Food flavors were unique and delicious. Rustic atmosphere is friendly, warm and romantic. Service team is excellent, informal/friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine options. Note that Earth is the restaurant attached to the Kennebunk Hidden Pond resort, and you definitely need a GPS device to find it! Prices are definitely on the high side. Still, highly recommended."

"One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. It started with the bread...best bread ever! Every course was so fantastic. Highly recommend the donuts for dessert. Amazing and friendly service. Beautiful restaurant. Hard to get a better overall experience! Can I please have the bread recipe? (I live in TX, so I can visit the restaurant regularly... unfortunately.)"
