"WOW - I can’t believe we didn’t come here sooner!! If you’re in Wolfeboro (or anywhere in this whole area of New Hampshire, for that matter) and you’re craving a high-quality burger, sandwich, a wide range of shareables, and just great gastropub-style food, this is the place to go!! It’s got something for everyone, an amazing gluten-free selection, great service, and some of the best food I’ve had anywhere here! We got a wide range of different things: pretzels w/beer cheese, fried calamari, mac & cheese, fried chicken sandwich, fish & chips, “Smoke On the Water” burger, and “Figgy” burger! Everything was incredible! The burgers and fried chicken sandwich were some of the best we’ve EVER had, the fish & chips tasted exactly like they should, calamari was a really solid classic calamari, pretzels w/ beer cheese were an amazing starter, and mac & cheese was the perfect guilty pleasure! So many great selections but if you’re coming here for your first time, I highly recommend the burgers. Get the “Smoke On the Water” or the “Figgy” burgers, and if hamburgers aren’t your thing, get the fried chicken sandwich. We were so happy with our meal and we cannot wait to go back! Well done to the Wolfe’s Tavern team!!"
"Wolfe's Tavern is under new management, we had not gone their in around 4 years because of last experience, happy to report things have changed for the better. French onion soup, haddock, wings, and my smoky burger. Suggestions, allow for different tastes with wings, hotter sauce options (pretty mild) maybe some simpler burger options, like mushroom and swiss and bacon and smoked cheddar. My burger was good, but too many flavors going on for me. Good serving sizes and Cam, our waitress was great!"
"The definition of a mixed bag, but unfortunately I lean towards do not recommend. Staff is friendly, and the mac and cheese was particularly good - gooey, hearty, and overall very delicious. The atmosphere is perfectly quaint and even cozy in spots: the space has multiple rooms, a couple of old fireplaces, and an old cabin feel to it. Dozens of old stein mugs hang from the ceiling (each personalized for customers who have completed the tavern’s “100 beer challenge”). The “wagyu” burger is a borderline scam and burned into a hockey puck despite being ordered as medium rare. Our waiter was relatively nice, but not much of a talker and clearly not trained or knowledgeable about the menu; he was unable to answer even the most basic questions (I.e. “what do people like the most here?”) and would often just mumble a one word answer and awkwardly walk away. When we showed him the burnt burger, he said “oh” and had no additional response. Looks like my journey to the 100 beer milestone at Wolfe’s will end abruptly after my 1st. Hoping they can turn it around, as some improvements in the kitchen and training their wait staff could go a long way in making this a highly desirable stop for dinner/drinks in Wolfeboro."
"Excellent place to dine! I ordered the Grilled Bourbon Steak Tips, and it was very delectable. I absolutely enjoyed eating these tender steak tips dipped in a barbecue sauce and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The waitress was also very friendly, service was quick, and I enjoyed the overall atmosphere. I’d absolutely recommend dining here."
"Very good vibes here. The bartenders and serving staff are really nice and down to earth. Theyve got hundreds of metal mugs hanging from the ceiling that were earned in the 100 beer club. Definitely worth stopping in for a pint."
