"The prices are a bit high but the customer service is top-notch and well-trained"
"I came here to shop for some mess and water filtration supplies. They have a fair selection of mess gear in a variety of formats, from a couple main brands. Prices were very much in line with expectations. There is a very wide selection of utensils, which is appreciated. Sadly, there is not much by way of filtration solutions, but the display rack was kind of sparse - maybe some items were sold out...? I was somewhat disappointed to see an almost 50% "markup" on a couple Sawyer products. Staff were genuinely exceptional."
"Incredible customer service. Someone picked up the phone right away and checked to see if the item I was looking for was in stock. They had solid sales on various brands. Side note: in response to Hiker2023's post. If you're an EMS member, they should have all your purchases stored. I've been a REI member for over a decade, but the nearest REI store is 80 something miles away."
"Decent products, a little pricey but that’s what you’ve come to expect when shopping for these type of products. Over all my biggest concern was the terrible customer service. And to be quite frank, most likely racially motivated as there were numerous customers, white customers, who received service. My family was in the store for about 20 minutes and not one person helped us or even acknowledged us. Very disappointing and I will not be returning to this location any time soon."
"My fiancé and I are Deaf. We came in the store to buy a few things. I asked one item to be shipped to home due to a minor tear in the jacket at the store. However, afterwards a payment for this particular jacket, we had a miscommunication with the cashier because of cultural differences. We tried to gesture with the cashier about an issue with our purchase. He just blankly stared at me. It felt like he was pretending to understand me. We also communicate through typing on the phone. It was as if the younger generation has a much weaker reading comprehension those days… This led to some confusion. So the manager found solutions. So we come in the following day to pick our items up using Affirm’s virtual card. With the manager’s notice to hold, all went very well and was glad to use some discounts. Thank you, Mr. Manager!"
