"We were in Portland for NYE weekend and I wanted to stop somewhere for the restroom and a tea. I just happened to pick this place due to proximity and was so pleasantly surprised to learn about it's Christ-centered mission! There's a beautiful message in the restroom stall encouraging you to love others and a great selection of Christian books in the lobby. The tea and cupcake I got were both delicious. It was a beautiful cafe that we will certainly stop by again next time we're in Portland!"

"My third visit while I travel through Maine. Love that I can eat in a totally gluten free establishment where the food is truly awesome!! So by and enjoy a cup of coffee, and an egg sandwich on a Canyon Bakehouse bread or wonderful muffin or scone for breakfast. Stop by for lunch and have a panini and cookie or cupcake. You can't go wrong, no matter what you choose!! The staff is very attentive even during the busiest of times. Thank you, Roots Cafe, for a fabulous place to stop on my journey."
