Reviews
"Came here because each time I go to the store in the price chopper plaza across from this one, the woman there is incredible useless and rude. This place has friendly, knowledgeable staff and prices that compare to any other wine and liquor store. I definitely recommend coming here."
"Great store! They always take good care of me. I get my wine and my favorite Villa di Como’s Orangecello and Limoncello Liquor that is locally made in Albany. Amazing liquor!"
"I have celiac disease, and have spoken with many alcohol manufacturers over the years regarding the cross contamination potential of grain based alcohols. I really didn't appreciate when I had questions about amarettos, which I have little experience with sourcing although I know they generally come from almonds. The employee stocking things at the counter was passive aggressively man-splaining that the distillation process would remove any gluten from any liquor, when I have specifically been told by manufacturers that cross contamination can happen in the factory many different times *AFTER* distillation. The store employee scoffed at me both when I explained this, and also when I asked about a specific brand of amaretto, apparently not up to his standards, and wished me good luck contacting the italian manufacturer of the only brand they carried because I probably wouldnt be able to reach anyone to assure me one way or the other of its safety. If you know what you're looking for and don't need to ask anything at all of the staff, I guess this place is okay, the selection of wines wasn't terrible but wasnt great either, but I certainly won't be back because of the rudeness."
"Great place. Knowledgeable staff willing to answer questions or make a recommendation. Varied selection and a tasting area in the rear of the shop."
"The owner and employees here are extremely knowledgeable about their liquors & wines, particularly when it comes to quality small-batch and local producers. They're not afraid to compare product quality for their customers, even if that means offering harsh truths about well-known, popular, or "mainstream" labels. I trust them to make sound recommendations based on quality, not price."
