Reviews
"Similar to one of the reviews, except I did not give them a chance to treat me disrespectfully. I am not going to out right say they are racist, but I can heavily feel the energy of discrimination. I walked and and one of the nail techs just stared at me before asking how can she help me. When I said I would like a manicure she looked around and told me 25 mins, it was her tone of her voice for me, I could tell it wasn’t a very welcoming place. I said ok and just left. We need to learn to stop giving certain businesses that do not respect their paying clients."
"She took her time & paid close attention to what she was doing in order to correct any imperfections. The best experience I've had during my 5 month stay in Massachusetts."
"Milan is back open and I just went to them for both a pedicure and a manicure. They fit me in very quickly and it was very safe and sanitized. You have to answer questions before you go in and they take your temperature. They were very nice it was very clean they have brand new safety measures up and I highly recommend them. I just had a wonderful manicure and a pedicure in there! Although I do recommend that you call ahead and make an appointment, because they were very busy."
"As someone in this review stated, one star is generous. Racist, unprofessional bullies. Today Was by far the worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon. I Came to MILANI spa where I was mocked by the employees when I walked in. The girl sweeping looked at my stomach and said something to another lady sitting there who then looked at my stomach area as well. They began to giggle and all the ladies (employees) started speaking their language to each other and one said to pick a color. Right after the other said they couldn't do my nails because they were closing soon. I said you told my mom you could do her nails when you thought it was for her... They spoke amongst themselves and laughed. I said can I just get a pedicure? And they sent me to pro nails. Infuriated with the way I was discriminated on and the way I was treated I left and although I was not going to do my nails figured someone should know about the racist, weight discrimination and appearance at this place. I then went to pro nails and asked for the owners information and began to explain the situation. The lady managing the place said that they didnt do that and called the other place (Milani). She was speaking in her native language and tells me they said I didn't pick a color and that they were not laughing at me. I told her that of course they would say that. I asked her why would she assume and automatically be siding with them, she was calling me a liar. I told her I am a customer to them and my first experience was not an acceptable one, also why would I take from my time to go there to try to lie to someone. I was appalled. She kept telling me I was wrong, and I said I just want the owners information for feedback and so that this does not happen to a Hispanic full figure women or any person. But, she said she didn't know me and will not give me the information. She also said that I was clearly being sensitive and the language barrier was also an issue since the ladies that work there (at Milani) did not speak good English. There is no bonafide reason why anyone should feel discrimination because of their appearance or nationality. I hope the owner reaches out. I will make sure that anyone I know sees this review and can raise awareness to the type of service these type of people are given the business. Unacceptable!!! I will never go there again. I will say this, there were two employees at the pro nails that agreed with what I was saying and even pulled me to the side and said forget them that in the future come to them and they would take care of me. But after the experience I had I will absolutely not be going to any place affiliated or owned by them. If anyone has the owners information please let me know. I'd love to give them the feedback. No one should feel the way I felt today."
"My hope was that I would finally have a nail salon that would deliver quality nail care. Here the characteristics. Never Again! 1. appointments mean nothing 2. constantly shifting people around and trying to send you to Pro Nail down the street. Who does that? 3. when filing your nails they skip a nail here and there. Seriously? You have to be smart enough to tell them. All they care about is picking up minutes. They add up. 4. I got a polish change for nails and toes and it took 25 minutes and they harassed me over it as they wanted me to get a full mani-pedi. Why are they telling me what I want and how does this get done so fast? Well.......they suck at it and just power thru. 5. I wish I could make a recommendation on where to go but from Foxboro, Norwood, Westwood, Dedham, I can't name one Salon that has figured out way to give good service and takes appointments seriously."
