"Every Christmas season we see a live production of A Christmas Carol. It is both my husband’s and my favorite story to watch and remember from year to year. This year’s Ring production was outstanding! It was the best performance we have ever seen and left the theatre with merry hearts because of both the message and the excellent performance. Each actor was strong. Scrooge was amazing and funny and believably frightened and curious…about himself and his own behavior. And the addition of the Carollers was brilliant. We tried to explain to friends how the Carollers carried the story from one scene to the next and they asked, was it a musical? No, it was not a musical, but the singing of Carols throughout brought more depth to the original play and meaning. Thank you players of the Player’s Ring!"
"Players Ring is a small theater which is a big part of its charm. No one ends up in a "nosebleed" seat, creating an amazing intimacy with each performance I have experienced over the years, most recently enjoying Mike Pomp as Scrooge in Tom Frey's adaptation of "A Christmas Carol." Reading the playbill again at the end as the cast was out for bows to see who played what (as everyone but Mike played multiple characters) was a testament to the creativity of the assembled performers and the directors and producers. I look forward to future shows. The Seacoast is fortunate to have a variety of theatrical venues, each offering a unique experience. Keep up the good work, Players Ring."

One of the gems is The Players’ Ring. For over 30 years this quiet but mighty playhouse is one of THE best venues for intimate theater. "This is an incredibly charming theatre! The show was so amazing! My daughter’s first time experiencing a play, and she was dazzled! I highly recommend this play, and the theatre!"
"Deathtrap was a wonderfully written and acted play in two acts. The plot turns kept us on the edges of our seats for the whole show. Amazing!! We love the Player's Ring for its intimate setting. Its well suited for the performing arts. The tickets are a great value."
