"My review is not based on the students or the staff because they are all amazing. Rather, it’s about the cost. As a neighbor to the school, I would go once a week to have my hair washed and dried for $11. I was thrilled and enjoyed talking to the young people about their future as I am a small business owner myself. Most recently when I went to the location in Braintree I was informed that the wash and blowout is now $19. That is almost double. I have been going so long that I know many of the students travel well over an hour to get to this location. Many students can go all day or even all week without seeing a single walk in client. Some students have told me throughout their entire experience they have only had two of three walk in clients. So it’s important to keep the price of walk ins reasonable for these kids to practice. They would love nothing more than to have client come in, like myself, off of the street, for practice. $11 was reasonable and I could support that. However, $19?…. Really, I get that prices have gone up, that’s exorbitant. How does T&G justify such a increase? Again, as a spa owner, I get that prices have gone up, but how do you justify such an increase? Never again. Too bad students, sadly, you lost out because of the greedy management /owners of Tony & Guy."

"Mickie is the most amazing front desk person and is absolutely perfect for their role. She always greets anyone entering the school/salon with kind words and a smile. The staff/teachers at the school are knowledgeable, kind, and patient with the clients and students. The student stylists I've had the fortune of meeting have all been great, making sure that their clients experience is positive. I also love how the students support one another as well, from assisting with a process, or just complimenting their classmates on the awesome job they're doing!"

"Don't book here if you would actually like to attend your appointment. The unprofessionalism is mind blowing and the work ethic they are teaching their students is even worse. If there was actually a snow storm I would understand putting safety first but there was maybe 3 snowflakes falling from the sky. This is Boston not Georgia. This is truly a prime example of the work culture we are creating and it's very disappointing."

"The staff is incredibly welcoming and the students REALLY know their stuff!! I have had professional hair dressers give me chemical burns, drown me in the sink, and completely ignore my requests in the past. NOT THESE LADIES!! Every time I leave, the complements on my hair just keep coming! I tell EVERYONE: Toni & Guy in Braintree is the PLACE TO GO!!"
