"I absolutely do not recommend Highpoint. It has been an extremely painful experience for me. When we first moved into the apartment, I must have had to get maintenance to fix/replace things around the kitchen at least 4 times when I was very explicitly told that this is “recently renovated” apartment with “all new appliances.” The one good aspect is that at least maintenance does a good job with the fixes/replacements. A more recent event (in fact I’m dealing with this event as I write this review): my neighbor’s apartment flooded which caused a major leak into my bathroom, and my closet all the way past the entrance of my room (my room is carpeted, so yes the smell as well). I had to call out of work most of the day to pull everything out of the closet and deal with the situation. This is peak winter and I’m having to walk on wet carpet because Highpoint claims they cannot do anything. The next day, after a bunch of attempts to contact the front office, I finally get someone to at least dry out the carpet. An hour later, one of their contractors randomly shows up and says, “we’re gonna have to rip out your carpet” and proceed to do so, while I’m in the middle of my workday. There is no advance notice and I’m frantically getting all my stuff out of my room and into my living room. They leave two machines running to dry out the area and clean the air, which ran for six whole days (yes my electricity bill was twice what it is generally and I do not think Highpoint is going to compensate me for that). During these six days, they also cut out a part of my closet wall to dry up the middle and guess what? There is a OPEN PASSAGE between my closet and my neighbors closet. You can actually walk into their apartment and they into mine. This was a serious breach of security and no Highpoint did not do anything about it. I have put up boxes against the closet door just so I can have some assurance/peace while I sleep. It’s been THREE WEEKS since and I haven’t had a single night of proper sleep. My entire room is on the floor of my living room and has been the case since day 2 of this whole nightmare. My renters insurance cannot do anything for a second accommodation because Highpoint doesn’t claim my apartment to be “unlivable,” so I’ve been stuck in a privacy and security breached, dusty room with no carpet. We’re onto week 4 of this fiasco and I can only expect more trouble. Oh by the way, all I get as a response from Highpoint for any of this is, “I’m sorry. We’re trying. It’s been a busy day.” with a smile."
"If you're thinking about moving to Highpoint Cir, be prepared to budget extra for car tows when going up to drop off your groceries at home or when packing the car for a move or vacation. Also, be ready to deal with poor post-snow maintenance. This happened to me repeatedly. Last weekend, I parked my car in front of the building for exactly 15 minutes with the hazard lights on as I was oriented by the building administration. They said it was okay to leave the hazard lights on for quick stops, it was raining and the parking lot was covered in ice this weekend, making it impossible to walk with groceries or luggage due to the slippery conditions caused by snow that fell 10 days ago, and no maintenance was done. When I returned (maximum 20 minutes later) my car had been towed. I filed a complaint with the tow company, but it was futile. As long as they're allowed to enter and make money, nothing will change. It's regrettable that the management allows this tow company to enter the condo to intentionally take money from residents. It's unfortunate that you can't unload your groceries or pack your car to move without worrying that your car will be taken, costing almost $200. We asked the tow company to record a video to show the building administration how they were instructed to work according to the contract, but they refused. But definitely the criteria they use to tow a car are completely opposite to what was explained to residents by the building management, and that's why cars are frequently towed. Therefore, I don't recommend it and appreciate that I'm moving, unfortunately I had a terrible time and extra and unexpected expensive packing my things to move, and I hope things changes and nobody have to deal with this terrible experience again."
"Decent to my experience in 2022-2023. All documents/queries were presented/answered/attended well. Leasing office is trying to get hold of electric vehicle chargers, meanwhile we can use the charging station near to Dog park, available in Avalon parking space. The housekeeping, maintenance team are better here and attentive. And security installations for entering the building is classy."
"As a resident for the past two years, I cannot speak highly enough about the staff and their willingness to go above and beyond -- regardless of the situation. Despite my initial plan to move out of state for work, I had a last minute change of plans and Kaitlyn was readily available to help me find another unit within my budget since my current unit has already been leased. Between Kaitlyn and Eric from the leasing office and Zach (maintenance team lead), I have no desire to move elsewhere. Its often difficult to find large complexes with courteous and responsive staff, but that is exactly what the Highpoint team provides! I'd be remiss not to acknowledge the phenomenal housekeeping crew who does a great job of maintaining the buildings and community spaces. I cross paths with the same person almost every morning and am met with a smile and friendly hello each time, which goes such a long way."
"Highpoint was a great place to call home- I would highly recommend it. It’s a very friendly and welcoming community. The gym and amenity rooms are well-kept and recently remodeled, and the apartments are spacious and comfortable. The management staff is also top-notch, especially Janessa. She and her team respond to any issues with speed and sincerity, and they genuinely care that tenants have a good experience while living there. —- Update: The leasing team changed shortly after our move-out, but is equally great. The new property manager (Jennifer M) assisted us with an account issue, and she was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. You’ll definitely be in good hands if you choose to make Highpoint your home. Our time there was outstanding from start to finish, can’t recommend it enough!"
