Windsor at Oak Grove Apartments

"No hot water for 13 days so far. The maintenance was responsive to the requests to fix the issue. However, it doesn't seem to be an easy fix. Several staff members at the office proposed reasonable solutions and listened to our concerns. We asked for leaving our belongings in another unit because we have a newborn at home. It's a lot of work to go to another unit to use hot water while having to pack everything for the newborn. However, the request to leave our belongings was rejected by the property manager. We feel that the manager doesn't care about the safety and health of a newborn. Update 10/5/2023: The leasing office lied about the availability of a unit we would be moving into in a week. We asked to use the hot water in that unit while our current unit was being repaired. The office told us that the maintenance team was still getting our new unit ready. However, the maintenance team told us the new unit was ready. We explained multiple times that we were not planning to move in early but simply to use the hot water and store some essentials there. Because we already had a babysitter and movers to help on the scheduled move-in date for most items and furniture. In property manager's twisted mind, he believed that we were lying about the hot water issue to move in to the new unit earlier than scheduled. Any parents with newborn should understand that taking care of a newborn requires a lot of stuff and it's impossible to take care of them in an empty apartment. All we needed was to set up a basic "nursery" in another unit without running back and forth between two apartments constantly. We also communicated that we need hot water to clean bottles and breast pumping parts. For that, we clean them at least 8 times every day. The manager didn't understand our need for that and believed that offering us to take a shower in another unit was an adequate solution. Update 10/7/2023: The manager wrote a lengthy email explaining why he couldn't allow us using the unit we will be moving into, he stated that "I am in the position that I am in is to protect the physical asset that my company owns." He also questioned why we didn't pick an earlier move-in date for the new unit. This is outrageous. How were we able to foresee the hot water issue approaching the move-in date of the new unit??? This summarizes all. He doesn't care about residents. Update 1/25/2024: If the office chooses to keep lying in the response on Google reviews, I will post the leasing manager's email word for word where he insulted us and denied an earlier move-in date."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Windsor at Oak Grove. The premises were excellent, including the apartment and amenities. The Windsor team was very responsive and helpful. If it hadn't been for us moving to a different state, we would have stayed in the same apartment :)"

"I recommend this place. I toured this property in Oct 2023 and ended by signing my lease to start from Dec 2023. I would like to mention Chris for his great help throughout the process. He made a personalized video for a model unit and the community for me explaining everything nicely. During my in-person visit to see the property, he gave a very good tour of not just the model unit but also similar type apartments available at Windsor Oak Grove that I could consider. He was very genuine in explaining everything and me and partner both loved the overall tour with him. The community looked well-managed and clean. Thanks to the whole office and team at Windsor Oak Grove for prompt replies to my emails (even on weekends) and special thanks to Chris."

"Highly recommended* Me and my husband toured this community for a 2 bed 2 bath and we absolutely loved it! Christopher at Windsor played a crucial role in that, a great person who helped us and is helping us find our home apartment. Our experience is elevated with Chris by our side. Chris even recorded and sent us apartment videos prior to our visit which gave a very nice overview. Chris is very helpful, kind person who puts in genuine efforts and we greatly appreciate that. Windsor at Oak Grove is a beautiful community to call home and with people like Chris the process may get seamless. "I lived here for almost two years before going elsewhere for a year to see how I would feel renting a unit in a house. Once my lease ended, I came back because the community just cannot be beat! The office staff are very nice and pleasant to work with. Very responsive and understanding of situations that come up and they will try their best to accommodate you. In particular, I have to give a shout out to Chris who helped me get my unit and was flexible when I decided I wanted a different unit. The one suggestion I would have is I would appreciate updates from maintenance staff if they are still working on an issue. Otherwise, the office had answers and quickly looked into the status update for me when I had questions about the maintenance request. The amenities and community cannot be beat (Not to mention, there's a T Stop within walking distance!). People around here are pleasant and overall a nice welcoming feel. Truly feels like you're in a community and would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an apartment!"
