"Things had really gone downhill here for a while following the first property manager's departure but have greatly improved since a new property manager arrived several months ago. The new property manager is excellent, communicative, responsive, and does everything possible to make the living experience here positive. The apartments are beautiful and solidly built. Cushing Square is lovely and well-located. It is typically only 15 minutes to Harvard Square and 5 minutes to the Waverly Fitchburg line train station via on site bus. The apartment community is also friendly and quiet. With the exception of one busy Starbucks, the first-floor retail spaces remain empty, but that's not necessarily a bad thing for those interested in quiet, and there are still plenty of great nearby stores and restaurants. There are few typical apartment amenities. There is no gym or swimming pool, just a roof deck with fire pits you can sometimes rent for parties. Rent is higher here than at nearby luxury apartments, which offer many more amenities and are similar distance to Boston and Cambridge. There would ideally be at least a small gym given similar nearby complexes have large gyms, swimming pools, and lower rent. Relative to most nearby luxury complexes, the Bradford has higher rent and far fewer amenities, but a superior location and better public transportation access."

"The building is pretty, the location is perfect for my life right now, and the staff are amazing. Why the 2 stars? Because the company building this complex forgot to put the insulation in. Forget the noise from Cushing Sq. That's to be expected. What I didn't expect was to know the routines and schedules of my neighbors by the noise patterns you can hear. When the vacuum is going, when the kids are running and playing, when the baby is crying, when your neighbor is coughing and sick, when the dog is barking, and all of the things that make up life but infiltrate in to other lives. The time to install insulation has passed so I guess we just live with it till it's time to move out."
