"Really bad treatment. My lyft driver and I got lost trying to find the place. We were told it was connected to the technical high school. I tried calling the hospital at the technical high-school parking lot. All I got a recording about people with low income. The recording also said because they had high call volume they couldn't answer my phone. While at the parking lot, a man in a truck asked if we were looking for Angell. He pointed towards the red buildings. We drove towards the red buildings and drove in circles. The lyft driver asked a couple of high school girls, where the hospital was, they pointed toward another red building. I was late 10 minutes. I rang the bell at the hospital in this frigid weather with a cat in her cat cage. The woman opened up the door. I explained I had an appointment. The woman took me to the receptionist. The woman said the medical team left for lunch. I had to reschedule. Here I took lyft to get there. I work nights. I have no time. When I complained about the rescheduling I got thrown out of the hospital in this frigid weather with my cat and cat cage in this frigid weather waiting for lyft. I highly recommend that you avoid going to angell at Essex. To put it mildly, it was one miserable day."
"Dr. Broadley is a great veterinarian and seems to genuinely care about animals' wellbeing. The staff are relatively friendly and welcoming. However, the supervisor is not. Her demeanor comes off as confrontational and unfriendly. It can be quite a challenge to get a hold of someone on the phone though. Be prepared to keep calling."
"Very disorganized - no administrative help - difficult to deal with - nobody answers the phone - nobody calls you back - they misspeak the truth - they don't care about the well being of animals (2 weeks for an estimate and still waiting for a procedure and estimate). The Angell Family is awesome, but please take your animal to one of the other locations. This place is a BIG disappointment for the Angell family. Go to Waltham. Go to Boston. If you love your animal - make the extra effort to avoid Essex. They are understaffed, under educated, do not speak the truth, over charge for meds BIG TIME and make decisions not the in the best interest of the animal. SO SAD!!!! If you love your animal and love Angell - go to Waltham or Boston. You will be treated better there than at Essex! Guaranteed!!!!!!!"
"Since the program closed down in Westford, we were told to make an appointment here. Unfortunately, the owner can't travel that far, so his son is taking the dog instead. The father has Dementia and cancer, and his son and I have durable power of attorney, and we are trustees, we agreed to pay full price since the father and owner of the dog can't be there, you'd think that sound fine, nope, now they say they need to see we have permission to make medical decisions for the dog, seriously? Anyway, I said fine, I have the paperwork, she starts repeating herself, I've had it up to here, what does this women not understand? Does she just not want us to take the dog there? They have all her records this is absolutely crazy. I asked for a supervisor, and she said she's not available but would call me. Doesn't anyone know what a durable power of attorney does? Or trustee paperwork. This woman just kept pushing and pushing my patience. I'll update the review when they call me back. Some people just think people don't have enough to do but to jump through their hoops."
"Really nice staff, beautiful location and they’re very careful to go over the cost of anything before they proceed. My dog is very sensitive but loves people so the friendliness of the staff put her at ease. I really appreciated the vets detail in explaining what they recommended and what they felt were priorities without being imposing. They were very understanding and accommodating when I decided to postpone less necessary things and proceeded with the most important and necessary things as well as the things that were important to me for my peace of mind"
