Motel 6 Danvers, MA - Boston North

"Absolutely under no circumstance book a room here. I got here after a long day just to be told it’s been closed for five months (and judging from reviews from a month prior I’m not sure I believe it). The front desk asked me repeatedly what website I used (THE MOTEL 6 ONE) to book it. Felt like they were implying I used the wrong website. Stranding a freshly 18 yr old girl is Not cool. So don’t book here because apparently they’re closed and haven’t updated in ‘5 months’! I asked front desk what I should do since other hotels require age 21 to check in and he said the Comfort Inn nearby allows 18. I walk there and lo and behold that’s not true. So what? I’m homeless tonight on my first trip alone on my birthday? Really??????? Thanks so much Motel 6!! Next time maybe you should update your WEBSITE if it’s CLOSED. That’s enough Motel 6 for me, FOREVER."

"I just called to confirm my reservation for two rooms for our upcoming trip this weekend and the representative at the front desk said that it is a computer error, they are overbooked, and they will not be able to accommodate us. They NEVER even emailed me, called my phone, nothing. Had I not called to confirm my reservation, we would have shown up there after a long drive late at night with no place to stay! How do they run a business like that? Overbooking without even calling the people who made reservations so that we can make other accommodations. Do not stay here unless you want to be stranded with no place to stay."

"This place is a total disaster. When we arrived we were told they canceled our reservation, without telling us. Even though the parking lot was nearly empty, we were told there was only one room available, and it would cost $50 more than our reservation rate. We ended up paying $240 for this horror show. This felt like highway robbery. After driving 12 hours that day we were not in a position to try to find a new place at 7 pm. This hotel is a disgusting nightmare. It looks like it has never been cleaned, there are random people hanging around outside, who look like they are not hotel guests, and I think illegal activity is likely happening. Our room had no trash can and smelled terrible. This is the most vile and disgusting horror show of a motel I’ve ever stayed in in my life. No one should ever stay here again. Update: I just want to add that the management note below is total nonsense. I tried for 30 minutes to find and send them a note on their website and it was not possible. I wrote it 3 different times, and it wouldn’t accept it no matter what I did. Even the website doesn’t work. Whatever you do, don’t ever stay here. It’s a horrible rip off. It’s a drug infested, disgusting place that’s never been cleaned with lots of illegal activity."

"I filed a complaint and this fat blad guy came to talk to me. Basically told me he didn't believe me because guests lie all the time to get something for free. I wanted nothing for free. I wanted to be heard and my complaint fixed. He did nothing. I have tried reaching the other lady Olga but she has yet to return my many phone calls. It's very clear that the owners do not care about the customer just how much money they make. Pathetic. The city should check for their permits for remodeling and having guests do work on the place. Wow. Glad I moved out of that place but something has to be done"

"I'd say zero stars but not an option. They put me in a smoking room (even though I asked for non smoking). I was almost sick from walking into the room. The front desk girl changed us. The next room stunk like stale but I was tired so I stayed. The shower curtain rod was broken so had to shower without one. Stayed for 3 nights, asked for the garbage to be emptied, never was. Asked for toilet paper,never received. The room was filthy, hair and blood on the wall. I woke up this morning, before we left, and saw cigarette burns and black/ red marks on the blanket. Disgusting. So many questionable characters just hanging around the lobby and entrance. Did not feel overly safe but had no choice in staying as I live far away. Not sure someone wasn't murdered outside. Screaming and yelling. Inside, dogs barking for hours. Apparently theres a pool but it was not usable. Overall, disgusting and not worth the exorbitant amount of money I spent. Will never return."
