"I really enjoyed my extended stay at this hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable, with a full-sized kitchen. The kitchen is small, but I loved being able to have my own food in the room and not have to leave for every meal. I needed a few days of quiet to get work done before heading out on a cross country move. There is free laundry, though I didnt use it, and free tea and coffee in the lobby, which I enjoyed. The staff is incredibly friendly and willing to help. Parking was easy and close, and the hotel is close to a big route with lots of shopping options. I plan to stay again soon, when I return for several family events."
"Decent, but not without a lot of issues. The carts for transporting stuff to your room are the worst I've seen across the country. Use a basket from the room or maybe a flattened box to help you bring in things. No one cleans up after their dogs and it smells like smoke of different types at all times all over the place. Check the photos for a game of Spot the Poo. There's some if you look close enough. It also felt like a lot of drama from guests at times, though from the rooms you can't tell. Rodents and insects are certainly present and you can tell this was once just an average apartment or something that's been recycled. As a result it doesn't look as nice as most candlewood locations. The entrance you'll likely use also has potholes galore making it feel like a high risk video game when you enter. Limited laundry access was also an issue and the washing machine doesn't seem to work well. The internet was spotty, too. I'm sure I could think of other problems, but these come to mind first. The staff are super nice, at least, and it's typically quiet especially if you don’t go out at night. Maybe that's enough for you? For the price, I don't think it's worth it personally."
"We loved this hotel and its strategic location that provides convenient access to nearby attractions like Salem while offering a serene environment away from the hustle and bustle of Boston. The in-room kitchen facilities are a notable convenience, allowing for the preparation of meals at leisure - perfect place to store our pizza we had leftover from lunch! Comfortable beds, great temperature controls in the room, and spacious bathrooms. This establishment offers a comfortable and well-equipped setting, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing visit when you want to be connected to a few towns in North of Boston!"
"We recently stayed here . We checked in this passed Friday room 227 to be exact. When getting in the room it looked nice but smelled very musty. As I was unpacking my stuff, I saw in the corner of my eye something in the kitchen . As I turned around a big mouse ran from the refrigerator to under the stove . My husband moved the refrigerator and behind it was a glue trap. So obviously they have already knew but still gave us that room . My husband went down to tell the front desk because no way was I staying that room. They said sorry and moved our room . Just sorry !!! And we never had enough towels and when we went to get them they said they were washing them. The rooms smelled and covers and pillows were awful . Will never stay there again ."
"I really like this hotel. Our room was clean and I loved having a full kitchen, it really helped to keep me on track and not eating junk food. There was a decent selection of TV channels, or you can log into your own apps. I like that there's a back road that leads to a couple stores for the things I forgot or was unable to get somewhere else. I love that there are quite a few long term people there, it didn't take long to make some new friends. I always knew when I went out to smoke there would be company and that made me feel a lot safer. The fitness room is decent, but walking an average of 10 miles daily I didn't end up using it, but it's there. I like that there's free laundry, also something I didn't end up using but great to have on-site. It's really close to Salem, so getting to and from there was quick and cost efficient. This is definitely going to be my hotel of choice for my trips up there. My stay was pleasant and I wish I had been able to stay longer."
