"Angela (the owner), is an absolute angel... So kind, courteous, and sweet to her customers... One of the best, and tastiest mai tais of my four decades of sampling them... And the food... Oh man... The food is off the charts! Sushi is outstanding and perfectly crafted... The Japanese cuisine is also quite amazing, and I have to say that the traditional Chinese favorites that you know and love, are a cut above the rest!"
"Love this place! The MaiTais are delicious and STRONG!! The food is clean and delicious! The owner, Angela is a gem!! She remembers you when you come in and treats her customers like family! I highly recommend the sushi, the house fried rice and the lo mein!"
"I had the Hawaiian poke bowl with raw tuna and salmon. It was okay, not great. The portion was just okay, but the price was high. We also got the spicy veggie poke bowl. They seemed better, but the portion compared to the price isn't that good. Unfortunately, these days, the portion never really is equal or more than the price. Prices are just very high in every restaurant that I eat at. The service was very good and the atmosphere isn't really Japanese, it's more just Asian. This place used to be the Mint Cafe, many, many years ago and served Thai and Chinese food, which I happened to like. The bottom line, you'll probably like the food, but don't expect a traditional Japanese style ambiance. Enjoy!"
"We stopped here for dinner on vacation. One of my kids and I got the tonkatsu ramen, which was good, if a little overloaded with vegetables. The pork in these was seasoned in a somewhat unexpected way, and while not bad, could have been a bit better. My wife got a tempura dish with noodles, and she enjoyed it quite a bit. Our younger son, who is a picky eater, tried the popcorn chicken, but something about these was off, and he didn't like them. He was able to eat some of their french fries, though, so at least he didn't completely go hungry at the restaurant. Overall, a good place to eat."
"Wife and I went here for supper on a Sunday and spent including tip $71 drinking water. Price wise sushi is comparative to a lot of higher end restaurants in the area but there is cheaper and there are not a lot of ramen places you can really compare it too. The place was dead and it had a funky smell in it maybe because the pond was drained. My wife had the Maki while I ate the nigiri. She really enjoyed hers mine was fine I have had better but it was not bad. For mains I had tonkatsu ramen and she had chicken katsu ramen. I did warn her that it does not make sense to have fried chicken in ramen as it will get soggy, sure enough it did which is her own fault I do not blame the restaurant for. However, the chicken was also "woody" which made it pretty much inedible. The noodles were pretty good for both bowls. The dashi was lacking flavor. Both bowls were luke warm at best not hot at all the pork in mine was also a little rubbery. Almost like they reheated it. For the price I was not impressed I may try it again on a busier night when I could have a fresher bowl of ramen. TLDR: Food not impressive but not bad go on a busy night to get fresher tasting. Prices is on the higher side."
