"Honestly could not recommend The Pooch Parlor any more highly, incredibly professional and they do beautiful work. Where we used to go cancelled on me a few times the day of appointments without a heads up, so I made the switch last spring over and couldn't be happier. One of my dogs is a little nervous and fearful and has had nothing but positive experiences and beautiful grooms - another always WANTS to go even when we don't have an appointment. Prices are in line with the current market/more than reasonable with the work being done, their grooms stay fresh/nice a long time, and most importantly it's not a stressful experience for any of my dogs and I know they're well cared for. Love this small business, we're lucky to have it!"

"We've been using Pooch Parlor for over a year and it started out as a really positive experience. It's always been slightly expensive at around $125 depending on what our large dog needed done, but we liked them a lot and Mo always looked great. I went to pick up my dog last week after an appointment and they charged me $197. After questioning this, they said it was due to a "price increase." After questioning this further (more than a 50% jump and no advance notice was given?), they told me my dog was incredibly difficult to groom. Every time I have picked up my dog from Pooch Parlor and asked how he did (how he behaved), they never once mentioned him giving any trouble or being difficult. Disappointed that instead of having an honest conversation with us so we could work together to address his obstinance with training, we were essentially "priced out" of ever returning. A bit of a passive aggressive move from a local business…Bummed because we really liked this place."

"This is the absolute best pet grooming place I’ve ever been to! Jennifer, the owner, is amazing, super friendly and knows her stuff! You can tell they treat every dog as if it was their own and keep the place immaculate! Every time both my dogs leave looking like super stars. I cannot recommend this place more!!!"

"This was an extremely disappointing visit. This is the first negative review I have ever left - EVER in my life, for any business I have been to. We have been to three or four groomers over the past 25 years. We are new to the RI area and I could not get an appointment anywhere because few groomers are taking new customers. Pooch Parlor was available immediately and now I know why. They did not ask for a rabies cert or immunization records - a big red flag. They quoted me $80 and charged me $96. $96!! They said my dog would be ready in 2-3 hours and in fact it was 3 hours and 15 minutes, so not considerably longer than they originally thought. I warned them that my dog was matted. At check out, I asked them if $96 was their standard rate and they replied "yes". No explanation. I then went back in my text notes and in fact they quoted $80 a few days earlier. They completely shaved him and did not try to groom him. I asked them to trim his ears at pick-up and they could not have been more rude and put-off by this simple request. Lastly, I am guessing they fed my dog without asking my permission to do so (I have never had a groomer feed my dog). He has a sensitive stomach and was up all night needing to use the "potty".....I definitely wish I had waited for a better groomer. Hind sight is 20/20 but you have been forewarned...."
