Ken's NY Deli & Brick Oven Pizzeria

"I have ordered several times for delivery, via the doordash app, myself and the restaurant started noticing that some of the independent 1099 contracted delivery drivers for doordash were frequently showing up late, then taking the food driving with the food over an hour to deliver, I'd call and Ken's would say, we gave the driver the order 1 hour ago, lol. anyway, I ordered again tonight at 615pm, I noticed a doordash driver, in the dasher app had not been assigned to me, yet me giving $10 tip for less than 3 mile delivery trip (dashers usually would pick this tip order up quick). I then contacted doordash, and asked what is going on. Doordash said "We are looking for a high quality rated driver for this restaurant". Safe to assume that Kens has pushed back at doordash setting up parameters ensuring customers don't get stuck with lingering 3rd party doordash drivers known to pick up multi stacked orders from all over mass. They indicated they require high quality independent contract door dash drivers. I did call tonight to let Ken's know how awesome, but they put me on hold because its a Friday night, so they must be swamped. Anyways, way to go Kens for working with customers and pushing back at doordash if drivers are less than sub par... I quote, I told doordash if my food arrives cold it is not Ken's fault. I also said if I need to microwave my pizza, my onion rings and meatballs, its not kens fault and they are not to be penalized........... Way to go Ken's for holding up a high boundary level with these 3rd party contracted delivery services such as doordash, but I don't need to rate Kens on that, because their food is always high quality awesome. I also contacted DoorDash again and asked how to give the DoorDash driver 5 star rating, was able to also increase her tip from $10 to $15 after she delivered .... Food is amazing and I love how Ken's set the boundaries with these third party contracted deliver companies indicating they will only accept high quality rated independent contracted delivery drivers. 5 stars plus plus to Kens and also 5 star plus plus for Christine the self employed 1099 contracted doordash driver, way to go! Nice."

"This is a copy of what I just sent to John Cronin - owner Good Afternoon John Sorry it's taken a few days to reach out but wanted to write and express our appreciation for the kindness, consideration and professionalism shown when my family and I visited Ken’s NY Deli and Brick Oven Pizzeria . I had feared ( which was a mistake) some obstacles which I shared with you through email. You quickly responded to and alleviated my concerns. You sent me a 2nd email later that day encouraging me to call when on our way...contact either Briana or Erin and our tables would be ready. I did call and upon arrival found 2 great tables outside awaiting us. Briana was waiting for us and she is without a doubt a “Keeper”!!!! She was so attentive, helpful and friendly that it felt like she was a member of our family!!! Your menu is fantastic! We all found what we wanted and much, much more…explaining the take out boxes. Kudos to all of you. We have definitely passed the shared our experience with others and I’m sure our local family members will be visiting again real soon. Thank you"

"Takeout from Ken's New York deli in Bedford. Weird vibe because there's a bar in a sub shop, but it works. The Ruben and the Rachel sandwiches for A1 top notch. Loved the onion rings as well. Pricey. 850 for what you see below. Still .good !"

"I love Ken’s. I go here all the time and the food is always good. The people are very friendly too. Here’s a list of things I like to get: Cheeseburger Club - always awesome, huge portion and comes with very good fries Chicken Kabob Wrap - my favorite sandwich for when I want to eat something not too heavy but delicious Buffalo Chicken Fingers - seriously good even without Buffalo sauce, but even better with it Tuna Melt - my go to place when I’m in the mood for one Plymouth Rock - If Thanksgiving were a sandwich, love it Reuben - a classic done well I’ve eaten all of those at least ten times, so I can say I’m an expert on Ken’s and it is great!"

"Cool and clean place with friendly staff! Food is amazing, good portion and delicious. I ordered Chicken Broccoli Pasta, it came with soup! Soup was awesome! I ordered sweet potato fries as a side as well, it was ok, somehow crispier than what I like!"
