"Stayed for 10 days, from day one whenever you came into the motel, the halls and elevators reaked of pot smoke, on the last day a car parked at their back entrance and smoked pot for close to an hour, I could not keep my window open in my room on the 3rd floor. The stink of pot just poured in my window. Talked to receptionist and complained about the car and left her to do what she needed. In the 10 day period I complained 2 other times of the odor. THIS MOTEL MODELS IT SELF AS NON SMOking. Seems you can smoke pot anywhere on the property. I will not be staying here again anytime soon"

"Booked a premium room w/upgraded bedding & snack. Pros: The room itself was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom looked newly remodeled. Lamps, tables and flooring newly remodeled, with plenty of coonection options for electronics. Cons: -- Room: the lighting was all the "daylight" super white lights, which is fairly obnoxious (but that's also personal preference for me, as I like warmer lighting when trying to relax) -- The updated hard vinyl flooring looked nice, but actually amplified sounds (where carpet tends to muffle noises). So unfortunately we could hear people walking around above and next to us. --"Upgraded" bedding??? Not sure what that was. It was only a sheet and a thin cover. -- Snack? I assume it was 1 of the 4 items in a small lockbox secured at the front desk. But even though the staff member never offered, i would have passed on the airline peanuts and small granola bar. --- ohh, and the stairwell door to the outside was never locked. So any random person could enter the building, and have free roaming access to any floor."

"It is always great to stay here. We come to the area 3 times a year for different events and because of the high rate we stayed at the Red Roof. It is clean and well maintained. It can get loud at night time but we understand it is a hotel. Front desk ladies and housekeepers are all nice."

"Overall a pleasant visit with a great location between Boston and Salem. The room was cleaned, stocked, and ready for us when we arrived and the staff was very helpful and asked us if our room was satisfactory. They do provide coffee for guests, but no breakfast, which we knew of when booking our room. Internet access was also provided and worked well for remote work. I would stay here again."

"It was fine. Bed wasn't very comfortable but the rooms were clean. Only decaf coffee in the room and the coffee at the coffee bar was terrible. No breakfast options except vending machines. The shower was nice. The fridge froze my drinks, but I was able to turn the temperature up thankfully. All the outlets I tried were functional. Sufficient parking. I was told that room cleaning only happened a couple of days a week, which was fine. I put the Privacy tag out because I didn't need the cleaning and they came in anyway. Was charged a Safe fee even though I never used the safe."
