"Great bang for your buck. Rooms are updated and look clean. Only request would be some coat/towel hooks in the room and bathroom. There’s a little store in the lobby if you need a drink or snack. Great location, about 10 min walk to Northampton center."

"We usually look for a property that had a swimming pool. This one had a pool but it was under construction and was closed. As I read other comments it appears that it has been closed for almost a year! This should be mentioned on their website.Then they gave us a room on the third floor and the elevator was out of order, which also seems to be the norm here. When we got to the room we noticed that not only was the counter dirty but the refrigeratore is in desparate need of defrosting. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were horribly uncomfortable. Breakfast was what I expected, mediocre. I spent a little extra on the room so I could get a bit of quality, I did not. One star for the loction one star for the staff, who were very nice. Next year when I come to this area again, I will opt for some place else."

"This is the most uneasy I have ever felt in a hotel that I paid over $100 for, much less $400. The door to the building remained unlocked all night. My 14-year-old daughter and I were booked into a third floor room without a working elevator. The smells were different on every floor, but for the most part it made me think that there were some major plumbing issues. The person at the front desk sent me up the first time with keys that didn't work and then did not come to the desk for over 5 minutes when I went back to get them fixed. Thermostat had an error reading but there is an enormous dumpster right outside the window so opening the window wasn't really an option. Definitely had the feel of a pay by the hour sort of place, which now that I think of it, may explain the incongruously high nightly rate."

"$300/night for parent weekend. Once you book, you are not allowed to cancel btw. The toilet has been running nonstop. The elevator is broken, the pool is broken, the coffee maker is broken and also the telephone. They do not have maintenance on-call. There is ample parking because noone wants to stay here, I assume. The hallway and stairs need a vacuum. Be aware. Don't stay here. I have never stayed in a hotel that bad. Only good: the location is close to campus."

"The staff was great. Initially we were assigned second floor room. I can't do stairs and they were working on the elevator. We were able to get first floor. The rooms were clean and newly renovated. Breakfast area and lobby was great. I would stay here again. My only wish was that the pool was up and running but they needed to do maintenance and called ahead to another hotel and I was able to use their pool. No complaints only compliments. Kat"
