"Not a lot of rooms to rent due to so many of us are staying in the rooms with our families or just ourselves rooms could be warmer bit it's better then the outside"
"Great location, close to main street 4 corners and the Bennington museum. Room are very nice and warm. Updated bathrooms. Great owners."
"We had a wonderful experience here and the owner is SO NICE!! Thank you Sonya (hopefully I spelled that correctly!) The room was spotless, and the property has beautiful gardens. Bagels, toast, fresh fruit, all included for breakfast. 100% would recommend for a well-priced place to stay in Bennington."
"Its the beginning of February, we just had a snow storm. The termostate says its 54 degrees in here, the tp holder is busted off the wall, there is garbage all over behind the bed and stands in the room, burns in blankets and sheets, burns on stands, burns on the bathroom vanity, holes in all the walls, a plastic bag over the smoke alarm, no phone, no complimentary coffee pot, there is however a jacuzzi that you cant use because it leaks, the ice bucket hasn't been washed, and the older man in the office is rude and very disrespectful. He basically called me a lie when I asked about the heat.... Its all around disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves. I've stayed in this hotel a few times over the years and its just gone down hill. I hear they work with economic services for the homeless, ill be contacting them and the building inspector. I wouldn't suggest staying here."
"Horrible! Place is a dumpy dive. Let me tell you why - unfortunately, my family and I became homeless this June. Since we had no family to stay with, a local outreach program, BROC (Bennington - Rutland Outreach Center) was our only option. Living in a double bed room would certainly be better than the streets right? Um, barely. The room is old and shabby, very outdated. The bed I slept on kept sliding off the busted box spring all night. I asked for clean towels and they said they only did it once a week, so we washed them ourselves. No cleaning service either. We quickly found out that pretty much everyone that was staying here was homeless. If I didn't have a child in school we would rather go to a campground. Avoid at all costs - also the Autumn Inn, also in Bennington, is the same. We were told we could either stay at the Mid town or Autumn Inn. After staying here a few nights I was ready to go, however, after reading the reviews for the Autumn Inn, it sounded worse, which I didn't think was possible. I really can not believe that the state of Vermont is willing pay 490 dollars a WEEK to house homeless people here, at that rate they could just build a homeless shelter - unbelievable"
