"The absolute nicest people work here. I found what I was looking for, at a good price. I'll definitely be back to donate and to purchase."
"Had a donation pick-up scheduled today for multiple household appliances. It was asked on the website that I leave the items on the curb, but it was pouring rain outside and I didn't want all of my electrical appliances to get wet, so I parked them on my front porch (about 20 feet from the curb). When the 2 guys arrived to pick up my items, I offered to have my brother and I move them down for them, so they wouldn't have to carry them down the 3 steps from my front porch to the curb. The man who drove the truck was extremely rude, declined my help several times, and told me I needed to reschedule. I said it would only take me 5-10 minutes to move all of the appliances (my brother is 6'5" and moves furniture/appliances all the time, probably could've done it in less time honestly). He insisted that I reschedule because he was "on a tight schedule." I got the impression he just didn't want to deal with loading the items onto the truck in the first place. I took time out of my morning to move a stove, dishwasher, wine fridge, microwave, and full sized fridge out of my house for him (not an easy feat!). The fact that he couldn't give me an extra 5-10 minutes to help him by moving these items closer to his truck, -- in the pouring rain -- is beyond me. This man was so unbelievably rude and unprofessional, and was so dismissive in his response to me. Didn't even let me finish a sentence before he just turned his back and walked away from me back to his truck. If this guy really cared about charity and helping people, he would've been more flexible. His colleague looked to be completely in shock, uncomfortable, and embarrassed by his behavior, but was pretty much silent throughout the entire discussion. I ended up posting the items on FB marketplace for free, and another man graciously picked them up within hours. I will never consider Habitat for Humanity Restore as a donation resource again after the way I was treated."
"Was a great store with decent prices. A hidden gem. I would go there weekly, or more.. buy a bunch of stuff every visit. Now, the prices are almost retail and the products are junk. I found same item “new” on Amazon for a few dollars more. It is still well organized, staff helpful and friendly, but can find better deals elsewhere now. They did a big re-org about a year ago and since then, no real deals to be found."
"Vast inventory! I thought some of the prices were ridiculous for the clearly worn out furniture. It seems they have a base price for all chairs no matter the condition, which I found some chairs I would’ve liked but I’m not paying $25 for an old patio chair when I could buy that same chair new at ‘At Home’ for $30. Worth coming by to look."
"Larger and clean, a great place to find one of a kind items for your home. A step up from the thrift store. They carry everything from furniture, tools, to building materials. Some items are way over priced, I'm not sure it they have a standard as to what things should cost or it I they just guess on everything? Nothing seems consistent."
