"This place is the definition of a hole in the wall sub shop, including the perfect cheesesteaks. I lived in Philly for 10 years, and a lot of the places around here do it 85% right. Pretty commendable, honestly. But Mike's? This is a Philly Cheesesteak. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who hasn't checked it out."

"I got the Fresh Turkey cold sandwich + old bay fries. The fries were crispy & well seasoned. The sandwich had shredded turkey meat (which I prefer over sliced lunch meat), good portions of the toppings & tasted great! Overall: Mike’s is a great place for a good cold sandwich. The customer service was friendly & quick. The place was clean."

"We stopped into Mike’s after reading reviews and were not disappointed! Ordered small cheesesteaks which were actually on the larger size. Soft rolls, flavorful filling and the right melt on the cheese. Two sandwiches, a side of curly fries and a couple bottles of water resulted in a very reasonable bill too! Great little spot, clean and efficient. Don’t miss it."

"I've heard a lot about this place. Like how good the food is, don't blink or you will miss it when you drive pass, it's a hidden gem. All of those are correct. It's a small shop. The parking lot isn't the greatest. And yes it's a hidden gem. I've eaten from there two times so far, but there will be more to come. The cheesesteak was to die for! Packed with meat, it was perfectly seasoned. The bread was so soft, a perfect match. This is my new place for cheesesteak in the Newark area!!"
