"Save what little mental wellbeing you might have, dont bother with this place, they dangle appointments in your face for months, then when the date comes they dont send you the link to log on, it takes many many calls to hear back from them, only to give you another appointment that they also miss, they dont have empathy over your mental health and what you are going through, i have been trying to see one of their doctor for my anxiety and depression for 2 months without being successful, its truly a waste of time and patience"
"I am an IT professional who has struggled with life-long mental health issues throughout school and my professional life. My wife and I chose this provider as it was the 'first available' and 'closest' to home. My mental health journey started when my first child was born. It was an eye opening moment. After some GP visits, he insisted I have an ADHD / Attention issue, I started therapy, and then started coming to Acenda for Psychiatry. I am met with nothing but resistance, dismissive tones, and a nonchalant attitude towards issues that are affecting me, my life, and the life of my family in major, negative ways. My psychiatrist keeps asking, “Why do you think you have ADHD?” The answer is always the same. I don’t. I have a mental health issue. My GP and therapist believe I have ADHD. This isn’t something I contrived. She also repeats facts inaccurately from the previous session, which is strange, because she’s there to primarily listen to me and take notes. Listening and writing things down correctly should be a huge job qualification. I was also told, “Try making a list.” Really? I’m 42 and have an engineering degree. You think I didn’t try making a list at some point in my life. It’s a disrespectful and infantile way to treat clients. Maybe this location is better suited for substance abuse rehabilitation and not mental health as a whole. I feel like I’m being treated as an untrustworthy criminal who they just want to get out of the office as fast as possible. If you are an educated person, taking your mental health seriously, and have talked to other mental health professionals, avoid this place."
"I was sent here to complete 4 hours of drug and alcohol counseling for a DUI that I received in 2009. I have not drank alcohol since being prescribed gabapentin over 4 years ago and I explained I suffer from urinary retention and I am a female BTW my previous urinalysis came back stating that I had alcohol in my system and I had explained that I do not drink that they only thing I do drink is coffee or tea and I put peppermint extract in it and they said that would not affect it and even asked the counselor if she would smell my tea or test it because I do not want to get another false positive seeing as I do not drink alcohol and I am allergic to . She proceeded to not test my tea and said we'll worry about it next week if you have another one come back we'll need list to say I've spent this entire week not putting peppermint extract and anything drinking nothing but water but I'm still worried that my previous tests from last week will come back positive for alcohol seeing as I was still using peppermint extract! They need to come up with a better system than having just random cups sitting next to other people's. And if you try to reach them when it's not your appointment not only do they not call you back but they have nobody at their front desk to even talk to! This place is ridiculous and is causing people to worry and not answering questions. They're just concerned with getting the money from the insurance and not helping their clients. I have a hate for alcohol and now they're trying to say I have it in my system. They should do hair follicle tests or blood tests to be more accurate"
"Really bad communication..i had to pretty much beg for a discharge...and even then i still have not recieved a call asking why or to confirm that i have been discharged. I called the corporate office to speak to higher ups and was told i have to deal with the office i walked into. The service is just there in my eyes."
