CHOP Primary Care, Harborview / Cape May

"If I were writing this review a little over a week ago, i’d have nothing but wonderful things to say. Normally we see dr bross or dr drexler & they are wonderful! Patient, explain everything, great with my daughter. Last week we saw dr held and it was TERRIBLE! I have never seen anyone treat a child, let alone a baby, the way she had. It was almost like she finds babies disgusting and annoying. It was seriously appalling and she will never be in the same room as my child ever again. She was very rough, grabbed my child from my hands & pinned her down so she can see in her ears (we were there for a diaper rash - it wasnt that serious, and if she let me help, it couldve gone a lot smoother). She demanded she would change her diaper, not me, and scolded my mom bc the wipes were cold from the car. She is also clearly not very educated on the benefits of breastfeeding beyond one, as she was annoyed my child was nursing when she walked in. She also felt at this age (16m), I “deserved” a full nights rest and my child should “let me” sleep. Just very passive aggressive to a child. Weird. Thankfully my mom was there as a witness, or I would have questioned if this was really happening. I regret that i didn’t speak up in the moment, frozen in shock. We all left in tears."

"The doctor stated that the hospital needed to diagnose our child after noting XXX did not have a fever. Didn't even bother to swab to see if it was COVID. Stated, "If XXX was my patient, I'd send XXX to the hospital". We're in your office, XXX is your patient. Incredibly lazy and no help. Drove all the way back to KoP to see a doctor that wanted to be a doctor and help the patient. Found out its RSV. I guess this is an office for doctors that thought they had started retirement already."

"This office is so scared to see patients that they tell you to go to urgent care all the time. You can, then wait for call back, then told go to urgent care because they don’t want to see kids unless healthy or Covid BS. We need better drs in this area."

"Been trying to get ahold of anyone in the office. Keeps saying all staff busy. We sent papers to get our daughters medical info released and sent to another office. We moved out of state which is diffcult since we can't just show up at this office. I have called numerous times, I wait on the line till the mailbox answers after 10 minutes. No excuse."

"Excellent office highly, highly recommend. I recently brought my son to this office unexpectedly and my son was seen by Dr. Sharon Held who was very excellent she reviewed my sons CHOP record before walking in and knew all about my son and spoke directly to him and myself diagnosed and treated the issue. Dr Held was very nice , professional and thourogh. We were from out of state and to find a CHOP care physician was very comforting and to meet Dr. Held was an absolute pleasure."
