"My plan is find another bank I have never been more disappointed in a financial institution hell in any company . I get nauseous when I have to call them. NO one ever picks up the phone and when they do no one knows anything. Customer service sucks. I was called by the fraud department that someone spent over $200 at IHOP in Vegas at the same time making purchase in LA. I am in NJ but for some strange reason First Harvest still took the money out of my account then next day. I while calling them the voice service is saying that i am calling after working hours and no one is available. It is 11:08 on a Tuesday, not a holiday. I would rather keep my money under my dogs bed than have it with FIrst Harvest."
"Used to be able to cash a check and get my money available. Now it’s a two day hold like a mobile deposit and still don’t get money until 4 business days later. Moving on from them and I’ve been with them for almost 9 years"
"First harvest credit union is a joke!!! It's seen the problems are similar with the reviews. You contact a loan specialist and she can't give you a straight answer with your account. The software they have is problematic. It doubles your payment and they are not 100% sure what it is. They tell you that they are going to call you back and never return. I rather pay double the rate than finance thought them again. I tell everybody I can. do not finance thought them it's going to be a problem. They don't know what they are doing ."
"The worst bank/credit union Ever! I would give a big Zero Star if I could!! So many horrible disappointments and errors with this bank and LIES!! Let me start by saying I WAS with them for over 20 yrs when they were SJFCU & now 1st harvest. The last straw for us was when I deposited a check through the ATM into our account and after 1 week of not seeing the check post I tried calling to find out why. I called during my lunch breaks to never get anyone on my 1st try and then when I finally got a live person I was told they will have someone call me back. I specifically asked for a call back on my cellphone and they would call back on my house phone with no details about where my check was!! After calling the 800 number several more times and about 3weeks have passed now and no check posted still. I finally got a rep from the Deptford branch that said, your check was mailed back bc one of the names on the check is not on your account! Ok so why after weeks did you not call me and where is the check?? I was told it was mailed and to wait 7 days before calling back. I explained that I already waited 2 weeks to call back and the Rep kept saying it was mailed. I demanded to speak to a supervisor who tried telling me the same thing. I told her find my check it's been more than 2 weeks.. She called back like nothing and said we found your check. What!!??? She said, it was stuck in the ATM?? So, it was never mailed..But, your bank kept lying to me all this time?? She said, we don't own the ATM???!!!! They are liars, and you can't trust them. I will not keep my money with a bank that lies as much as they did! I cancelled all my accounts the day I went and picked up the check that they never mailed!!!!! DO NOT BANK HERE!!!!!¡!!!"
"Posting on behalf of my wife, Phyllis Townes. My name is Phyllis Townes I want to bring something to your attention on a personal note. I have been a member of your bank for over 40 years and never had a problem; everyone’s very respectful and helpful. Unfortunately, I do not feel this way at all since March of 2023. Someone took $1799.50 from my account and it seems as though no one cares. I’m getting the “I’ll call you back, I’m putting in your complaint and someone will get back to you within 24-48hrs.” If they finally call back, I’m told contact the fraud department which I did then it’s been over 90 days “sorry we can’t help you anymore.” Now, this is after not getting return call and paperwork that I was suppose to receive. Ive had multiple visits to the Mt Laurel branch, visits to the Deptford branch for you all to tell me NOTHING YOU CAN DO??? My bank for over 40 years??REALLY!!! Like I said, this is personal. I have been a nurse for over 40 years not sure if you’re aware but sickness or dementia is not prejudice. It hits ALL ages at any given time, no one is exempt. Keep in mind that I’m a senior citizen in my right mind. Thank God I can speak for myself. What’s happening to the seniors that can’t? Oh well, shame on them? If we can’t trust our banks we’re in trouble. I’ll never wish anything bad on anyone but it’s not a good feeling when you check your account and someone can just use your hard earned money just that easy for your bank to say “there’s nothing we can do.” Please take the voice announcement off your advertisement saying “WE PROTECT YOUR MONEY”. It’s absolutely FALSE!"
