"St. Francis is the last place to pick for a OBGYN. Especially for black women. I wanted to share my last experience from 2 years ago(2021). I only went to st. Francis to get away from Christiana Care. Both places are a complete joke. Male doctors at st. Francis have no compassion for women. I expressed that I wanted to have a VBAC(vaginal birth after a c-section) after having 2 unplanned c-section. VBAC success rate has been medically proven to be true even after having 4 C-Section. Just about every doctor they had me see at St. Francis told me no, that I couldn’t do it and proceeded to schedule me a C-Section date for their convenience. I didn’t show up which is my legal rights to. When I showed up the following week for a follow up appointment the tension in the office was heavy from everybody who worked there that I interacted with. I was told by one doctor to find another doctor if I basically wasn’t going to be a do what I say patient. Any ways I still had my healthy baby naturally, no complications and without medication. I did go to a different hospital (which is also another legal rights of yours) So I do recommend if your a black women and looking for a good doctor to care for you, this is not the place. They don’t want to work for you but against you for their selfish personal gain. Also Dr. Crosgrove back handed complements and not so funny joke made me feel very uncomfortable. Looking at the comments just prove I wasn’t overreacting about how I was feeling. There’s something very off about this place. You can feel it soon as you walk into the dim waiting area."
"Grateful for the team at St. Francis, I switched providers because my previous OB was not listening to my concerns with my first pregnancy. Dr. Petit and team were genuine and took the time to hear me out during and after pregnancy. There was sometimes a wait but it was well worth it because I know the providers were taking that much needed time to talk to their patients and addressing their concerns. The ladies at the front are always nice and courteous with me as well!"
"I gave birth here on the 19th, my time there was exceptional and the nurses who helped me give birth were very sweet and nice but I definitely feel like I was rushed out of the hospital. I was home by the 21st and of course I was told that me and my baby was fine to go, but me personally think I needed more health care because my Body still felt very off and my Blood pressure kept going up but still I was sent home. I haven’t had any rude encounters with the staff there but something was just off and my visit certainly could’ve been better, coming from a woman who is not at all hard to satisfy!"
"The staff and doctors were all amazing! Both deliveres (vaginal and C-section) from the admission to the nurses and doctors was great! After a horrible birth experience from Christiana I was so happy we went with St.Francis."
"The FRONT DESK STAFF is disgustingly rude! My daughter was waiting for an hour in the waiting area not to mention 36 weeks pregnant with twins. She goes up to the FRONT DESK and ask “Do you know how much longer the Doctor will be?” The lady at the FRONT DESK response was “What” in a frustrated tone. Sis, listen if you don’t like your job you need to quit. As a woman we already carry a lot and not to mention being pregnant. You guys need to offer extensive CUSTOMER SERVICE trainings upon hiring. Side note: I already called and talked to the Practice Manager. Thanks"
