"My experience with Familia Care Associates left me quite disappointed, prompting a switch to a different pediatrician. The clinic appeared to be disorganized, evidenced by several issues. Firstly, contacting the office was challenging, often requiring multiple attempts. At one point our child had RSV and we never received a call back on our voicemails we left. Additionally, there were instances where appointments were canceled without prior notification. A significant concern was being billed by third-party providers due to our insurance details not being submitted by the practice. Lastly, the process of transferring to a new pediatrician was prolonged, taking over 30 days to complete."
"Me and my family are seeing Dr Yezdani and his wife for almost 17years now, both are wonderful but the lady at the reception Helly is very disrespectful and rude. She is at the front desk but very unpleasant and arrogant to talk. She doesn’t know how to talk to people at all."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Yezdani for decades and always thought he cared passionately for his patients. Currently my office experience didn’t reflect that. I made an appointment with one of the Nurse Practitioners on May 5 if this year. I’m 63 years old and have a considerable amount of pain which interferes with my ability to fall asleep. Add to that for 26 years I worked shift work which has been proven to disrupt your circadian rhythm, and of course there’s the bathroom issue which has me running to use the facilities quite often. This combination has robbed me of sleep for decades interfering with plans resulting in missed appointments. My goal is to attain optimal health which has been in a downward trajectory primarily due to my not being able to get a good night of sleep. I did what any patient would do I made an appointment with my primary care to address it. On May 5 I was informed by a Nurse Practitioner that according to my records a sleeping medication had been previously prescribed but Dr. Yezdani was on vacation and he would talk to him about this once he returned. On May 27 I had a regularly scheduled appointment with the same Nurse Practitioner I had seen previously on May 5. When asked if I needed any medication I reminded him of our conversation about sleep medication and he denied we had ever discussed it. When I pressed him he looked at my chart and said oh yes, I saw you on the 5th of this month but I never mentioned any medication for sleep which isn’t true. He then suggested a medication that has a side effect of weight gain which I immediately said wasn’t in my best interests as I am already considerably overweight and my long term health goal was to address the sleep issue while addressing the weight loss which his suggestion totally undermined. Finally, he suggested I see a psychiatrist for the sleep problems, stating he would collaborate with the psychiatrist. Now, this isn’t the first time I asked for assistance from this office tackling my sled issue. Years ago 7 months after my Mom passed away I asked for help and was cavalierly told that all parents passed it was a part of life and ended up going to a medical aid unit to acquire medication to help me sleep. I was provided with Ambien which in my case caused me to drive my car in my sleep. Again, I’m 63 years old and have been prescribed medication to address sleeping issues on and off for years. I know what has worked for me and what would be effective. Unfortunately, I believed my physician of long standing would also recognize this and address it effectively. Instead I’ve been put off, sent elsewhere and prescribed medication that has harmed me. I am of the opinion it might finally be time to search for another primary care who will actually listen to me as a patient and not consistently put my concerns off as of little or no importance."
"Love the doctor but the wait is insane. My son was there over and hour and the doctor isn't even there he was told he was stuck in traffic. If we were late or missed the appointment we would be charged a $30 no show fee. But yet they don't show and nothing. I think they owe my son $30. His appointment was at one at it's now 2:10 and no one has seen him. Guess I'll have to switch offices. And the women at the front desk are miserable. Don't like your job get a new one."
