"Kathy Owen is a passionate teacher, black belt, and the owner of Newark Kenpo Karate. Her mom, Doris handles the books and front desk. They are both lovely people. My son took karare lessons here for several years a long time ago and we've always kept in touch. There is a family/close knit feel with long standing students. The classes are top notch. There are ample opportunities for individual help, competition and other events. The students get along and often the older students lead the younger or less experienced students. I highly recommend Newark Kenpo Karate for their attention to detail, instruction, atmosphere and kind nature."
