"This was truly an amazing experience. Don't be fooled by the menu, chef Amanda made the most simplest ingredients into something fantastic and magical. An orange and cheese salad? This was the best thing on the menu that evening, not to say the other dishes weren't good, but proof that the ingredients and quality of food used elevated the dish so much that you'd never think of using cheese with oranges! This has certainly become our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia, move over Vetri!! You do have the option to add on additional dishes not added to the prefix menu. We added beef tartare and slow cooked cod to our dinner and it was delicious! At the end of the meal, we got to meet chef Amanda as she was passing out bags of chex mix she made with duck fat. Omg...yum! This was quite the experience and nothing here can possibly be bad or even sub-par! Thank you for this wonderful restaurant and please keep up the innovative creations!!"
"It was an entire experience! The food was amazing and I left in a haze of joy. Everything is so thoughtful, down to the textures of each ingredient and the fact that everything is made in house by local ingredients. I can’t wait to go back! The menu changes biweekly so each time will be something new for us."
"Without a doubt, the best dining experience I've ever had. Every aspect of this place is extraordinary; from the decor, the open-kitchen concept, to the service, to the hospitality of the chefs, and of course, the food. Every course was so well planned out, and explained in detail by the chefs preparing it. You could feel their passion for cooking. Usually when you have a preset menu, you have winning and losing dishes. I'm honestly not sure if there was a bad INGREDIENT throughout the meal, everything was that good. Everything was farm to table and fresh. The corn-brulee may have been the best thing I've ever tasted. This is a must stop for anyone. I'm already setting alerts to check their menu everytime a new one comes out."
"Can confidently say that this was my favorite dining experience in Philly this year if not ever. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and that translated into the food. Everything was prepared with such care and attention, and every dish tasted delicious. I especially loved that before each serving the chef(s) gave an overview of what makes it special and where the food came from (supporting local farms). It was a truly unique and special experience that I cannot wait to have again."
"This place was fun and inventive. We were seated in the window seats, and the chairs were pretty uncomfortable. I had to stand most of the time. The service was impeccable. The food ranged from really amazing (challah toast, corn ravioli, soft shell crab, dessert!) to interesting and tasty (skate wing and halibut) to just ok (tomatoes, eggplant parm, pork chop). Most items were in a relatively heavy sauce. I know, I know, it's French, but it was also a summer menu. We support chefs in being progressive and experimenting and were glad we had the chance to try it. We're excited to see what this talented chef does next, but if you go here (they said it was switching to a Thai concept soon?), request not to be seated in the window."
