"I contacted Sum-R-Fun to open my swimming pool. After learning I was a new owner of a swimming pool and had no knowledge of swimming pool, they started to inform me that my pump was bad and needed to be replaced, then my filters were bad and needed to be changed, then my swimming pool needed to be cleaned… Anyway, considering having 5 children in the house waiting for the swimming pool, I still authorized them to do whatever they claimed need to be done for my swimming pool. About one month after my first deposit, they informed us our swimming pool was ready to swim. To our surprise, in the following week, visible algae showed up around the swimming pool. Then, I called Sum-R-Fun requesting them to check the coming back algae. They refused to come back and check, but demanded us to pay all balances. In summary, after paying Sum-R-Fun for all they claimed necessary, including replacing several expensive parts and services, we got a swimming pool of algae!!!"

"More than two years ago I reached out to request a quote for a replacement pool cover and Val promptly responded. I didn't end up purchasing then and reached out last summer for an updated quote. Within a month the cover was built and the guys came out, installed it, and adjusted it. There was a manufacturing issue where a strap was in the wrong spot, so Val coordinated and sent everyone out to look at it, again promptly. They made sure it was secure and would work fine for the winter and we agreed it would be fixed after opening. This summer after opening the pool I notified Val, and the cover was promptly picked up and then returned perfectly repaired before closing this fall. There were lots of opportunities for screw ups and miscommunication and delays but it never happened. The only problem got fixed perfectly at no cost to me whatsoever. Additionally I'm not a regular opening/closing customer since I do it myself, but it felt like I was treated with the highest priority every time I reached out by email or phone."

"Told us we needed a new filter. We called another pool company who suggested a new "O" ring for $26. That took care of our issue. We are taking our business to the more honest company."
