"Wanted to get out to see some water on a beautiful day and made a spontaneous road trip. My son and dog were along for the ride, and we all enjoyed our visit. There was a garden event wrapping up, so visited some vendors. Parking was easy and free. Beautiful area and gardens with a wildlife promenade right beside the water. No dogs allowed on the promenade, but mine is a service animal. She loved seeing the water, animals, and people. There's a marine museum, park, docks for fishing and boating, and a fresh air restaurant with casual food. Really nice small-town family atmosphere with beautiful sights."
"Dog friendly. Beautiful Lighthouse area and park. Has a nice boardwalk with pretty views as well. Parking was easy luckily and quick. Enjoyed a few hours here, sat on bench and watched couple ships pass thru! Calm and relaxing place to hang out. Recommend coming here for sights and history"
