"2nd visit. Nice big site. There were no hookups at our site, but there are water spigots throughout Acorn loop. Plus, there's a dump station at the entrance to the campground. We will definitely be back!"
"I went in search of acorns and found nothing. Had a pleasant stroll on a trail by the river. I adore the old mill by the water. Took some pix. Plenty of parking, no bicycles on trail but you can ride on the road under the shady trees. Dogs are welcome but make sure you grab a poop bag just in case. Porta potty available. No refreshments so bring your own water and snacks."
"Best park and lot of greenary and many trails and camp grounds. We can go near Susquehanna river waters and fishing is so good here. We went on blue trail and it is some parts go on the abandoned railway track and bridge. We love this place and park. I SUGGEST this place for any hiking, picknic and family fun."
"Beautiful park, even on a rainy winter day. My sister and I enjoy photography, and we were driving home from Havre de Grace and decided to drive through Susquehanna State Park. It was a warmish February day, and it was raining softly. Despite that, we found many beautiful things to photograph, including the mansion, The grist mill, the waterfall, and even a herd of deer. The fall leaves still blanket at the ground beneath the bare canopy of trees. We drove also to the steppingstone museum, but it wasn’t open. I very much look forward to returning to enjoy this park in other seasons. It will be worth the trip from Pennsylvania."
"Seems to be open at sunrise, v easy to find and lots of pull-ups on the side of the road if you're not staying for the whole day. Heavily wooded and very peaceful and calm. Park fees are very reasonable, a $2 a car. There's a boat launch that cost a little bit more... $4 But again very reasonable. Many happy calm people fishing, biking, hiking, relaxing, this heavily wooded mini paradise and escape from suburbia and city. Historic places here too... They need more volunteer docent to keep History alive by the way!♥️"
