"My Thermador gas range had a broken oven rack bracket so I looked on the Thermador website and saw Rosedale Service as a recommended service provider. When their technician arrived (on September 1, 2020) I asked hit to also take a look at one of my burners which was slightly erratic. He ended up arcing out an electrical component on the left side of the stove, sharing he would be back in the next days to fix this piece. Well fast forward 2 weeks and he finally comes back out and ends up spending 5 hours here because he didn't know how to access the pieces he needed to get to. In the process the technician is using every curse word I know, scratches the floor, and scratches all of the stainless on the top of the oven. He also realizes he needs different parts. Fast forward 3 weeks and he comes back out today, replaces a part (which doesn't fix anything) and then leaves without telling me anything. Throughout this time, I've called the office and spoken to the owner only be told that he "isn't sure what he can tell me" or is "not sure what he can do". I'm at my wits end. I've never had a business not care that they have destroyed what they were working on. I don't even know what to do other than call another company to come fix what was broken plus what has been damaged???"
"Tom, the owner, was very helpful and honest on my initial phone call about a repair on my LG front-load washing machine (model WM2688HWM). He confirmed my suspicions about worn bearings and possible broken “spider” bracket at the back of the drum, based on a sound over the phone, the burning rubber smell during the spin cycle, and the play in the drum. He could have come out and charged me $110 for the visit, only to tell me that the repair would be around $900 and not worth it. Instead he told me all this over the phone and saved me time and money with his honesty. He also educated me about how, over time, it is the *cold* wash cycles and detergent that lead to the corrosion of the cast aluminum spider bracket’s bolt holes, leading to unbalanced spin cycles, further fatigue of the cast aluminum, and eventual breakage of the aluminum spider bracket. After a while the bearings wobble inside the outer plastic bearing races and ruin the tight press fit that gives the required alignment for balanced spinning at 1320 rpm. This repair would require new bearings, a new spider, and a new plastic outer tub, plus 2-3 hours of labor. So I not only learned something, I saved some money in the process! Why aren’t there more honest and patient guys like this in the world? Now I guess I’ll go buy a new washing machine. He said that Speed Queen is the only brand that doesn’t suffer from this common failure mode. Thank you."
"I called to schedule a service call on our Bosch dishwasher for a foul odor. I believe i spoke to the owner who was familiar with this complaint. He gave me very useful information about what causes this and confirmed some things we thought. He explained it isn’t the machine but the position of the hose connection to the disposal and the interaction of the soap with the dishes. It is important NOT to rinse off food before washing. He was very generous with his time on the phone and told us how we could resolve it ourselves without a service call."
"8 Year old Bosch dishwasher on the blink. Called Rosedale, spoke with Tom, the owner, set appointment for Tuesday pm. First: Tom is very personable, very knowledgeable, and very dedicated to proper customer service. Second: Jorge showed up early after verifying by phone, a welcome circumstance. Third: Jorge diagnosed two problems right away. Fixed the first problem immediately. The second required a replacement part which he had with him as a result of my conversation with Tom on Sunday. The defective part was definitely defective....I mention this only because this type of repair could be a blind item for the unknowing. Quickly and effectively replaced. Fourth: The invoice. WOW! I was expecting something substantially higher. Not so....very reasonable. Summary: What a pleasure to find a company, a small independent, honest, very good and dependable. Thank you."
"Our air conditioner was working fine till there was a recall, so we took that to Rosedale Services as directed and they "fixed It". However when we started it it triggered the circuit breaker off multiple times. We took it back to them and we waited to hear from them. Finally we called them and were told the machine is "ruined". We are sorely disappointed with their service."
