"regular patron of the owners other spot 2 Ames, and of course can never say enough good things about the food, namely the steak is NEVER cooked improperly. this is the most reliable good sear and cook i’ve ever had on meat in my life. every time, exactly the way i asked for it, so kudos. other important stuff: drinks are phenomenal, second to none. try something new and you will not be disappointed. the bar work here is expertly crafted and the people who serve it to you are passionate, knowledgeable, and want to give you the best drink you can get. NEVER second guess Greg, he knows his stuff. and of course, the service is always excellent. servers and bartenders alike are willing to talk to you, recommend things, and know their stuff. music is great, atmosphere is phenomenal, and you’ll definitely want to come back. eat here, drink here, get to know the people, and you’ll have a great time."

"Our go to for a quick impromptu date night. forte has the atmosphere and is serving up some of the best cocktails in the area! The cocktail menu has some of the staples but also isn’t afraid to make you go out of your comfort zone. We have had some of their appetizers and loved the gyozas. We are so glad to see Forte up and running with a new exciting twist."

"In short - amazing food and drinks but the space is cramped and it was extremely hot. I visited Forte with my young son and we had a great time - the staff was very welcoming. The food was delicious and the menu was varied so I am hoping to make it back soon. While the entrees are expensive ($30+) they also have small plates and a la carte which is more reasonable. The downsides - I could not believe how hot the restaurant was. Possibly this was due to how packed the space is, as in my opinion there are too many tables for the space. Servers were having to call out to avoid running into each other, and I hardly had room to get in and out of my table. The negatives are definitely minor compared to how great the food and service was, and in glad to see this downtown staple back in action!"
