"Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff! From the valet to the front desk to the bartenders at Opaline everyone was kind and made us feel like royalty. Spacious room with tons of closet space and very nice accomodations. My only disappointment was when I ordered the champagne service, I expected it to be in my hotel room when we checked in at 3 as a surprise. At first they said they couldn't bring it up until 5 (when the bar opened) but I explained we wouldn't be there due to dinner reservations so they did try their best to accommodate us and bring it up later. This was a minor hiccup and overall a wonderful stay."

"The hotel itself was very well-kept, and the location cannot be beat. The lobby was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, but pillows on the bed were not - they had no support, and when you put your head on them it just sank straight down. Also, the bedding only consisted of a comforter and there was no top sheet. This made sleeping a bit uncomfortable because the comforter was too warm, but leaving it off was too cold because there was no sheet underneath."

"Excellent location for restaurants, bars, and tourist attractions. Unfortunately the location is the best part of the property. The hotel itself is dated with cramped rooms and bathrooms including very limited closet space. The rooms have not been updated in quite some time which is very clear. The room and linens were clean throughout our stay and the mattresses were comfortable as well as the pillows. My primary dissatisfaction is that this property should not be marketed as 5 stars as the rooms and the staff do not reflect that endorsement. Outside of the dated rooms and bathrooms, the staff never once greeted us throughout our stay and actively ignored us at check in as well as check out. No one offered to help with our bags, our car, or to help arrange anything within the city during our three day stay. Additionally, without a doorman, a spa, a pool, a lunch option, double sinks, check in refreshments, other amenities, this property should not be considered as 5 stars. By far the biggest considerations should be treatment of guests by staff as well as the quality and upkeep of the rooms which were both lacking. For the price it’s typically a good value but should no longer carry a 5 star rating without significant updates."

"Welcomed at the checked-in counter, pleased that I was addressed with my name. To my surprise, I was informed that my membership status earned me a room upgrade. Upon entering the room I was not aware of any differences from my prior experiences, excepting the layout. The television viewing screen was impressive, and thoughtfully positioned above the writing/computer desk. I was disappointed with the picture resolution and the minimally basic cable channels provided. The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished with an oh-so comfortable king-size bed mattress and duvet. The stylish reading lights on the headboard are really nice to use. I look forward to my stays here, and appreciate the drinking and dining set-up on the sidewalk area, weather-permitting."

"Great place to stay at in DC. Very close to the White House (3 minutes walk) and other landmarks in the city. Great staff and very accommodating. Very cozy arms comfortable bed and great features. Some equipment are a bit outdated (the speaker was really great, but didn’t have Bluetooth). The restaurant was very good. Overall amazing."
