Delaware Agricultural Museum

"The reason for the 3 star rating is due to the village not being handicapped accessible whatsoever. I understand not being able to accommodate in most of the historic buildings , but not even pathways between buildings. It makes it difficult to maneuver disability equipment. They do not take that into consideration for pricing. If you need accessible equipment, you can really only see a third of the museum"

"Well done small museum of agricultural equipment displays and re-created historical community. We found the tracing of the development of the poultry industry surprisingly interesting. Parents should be prepared to keep a tight rein on youngsters as equipment is large and openly displayed - a definite climbing tempting. The is a very small admission fee - a bargain for the experience. Nice choice for a family outing."

"I participated in the Wedding and Event Expo at this beautiful venue. I remember this place as a child. I had not been there for years. I was pleasantly surprised by how much it changed. I love the additional space for meetings and gatherings. I love the outdoors landscaped areas. I appreciate that it is right in Dover. I love the view of Silver Lake there . I was advised they even have livestock 2 pigs and some chickens and geese roam freely. Don't step in the poo. The staff was nice. The area was clean."

"I really enjoyed the 12th Annual Beer Wine And Spirits Festival held here. Many local people didn't know about it unfortunately. That seems to be a reoccurring issue with most events in the Dover area. The event was held outside. Plenty of great food and music. People from all over the diamond state showed up. Several of the people and beer vendors were out of Wilmington Delaware. The Beer was really good. I will run a post on them later. This year we had non Beer vendors showcasing awesome craft. "This was a very interesting museum. There were many historical farm machines on display. I also enjoyed the videos available of the machines in operation. The historical village buildings outside were also interesting."
