Red Roof Inn & Suites Wilmington – New Castle

"Great stay excellent price. This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel and doesn't claim to be. I wasn't sure what to expect when I pulled up but I was relieved how great the rooms are. Of course the premium rooms are top notch with refrigerator and microwave and a nice snack box. To some its well worth extra money to other they might not need those things since there is a microwave for use by all downstairs next to office and snack machines as well as restaurants in walking distance. I love a in room fridge for cold sodas but I'm good with 2 ice machines available and a cooler or throwing my cans in a bag with ice. For being pet friendly the rooms I have stayed in showed no sign of animals. Would definitely stay again especially for the price you won't find something similar in that range."

"This place is a mess! Lobby is EXTREMELY MISLEADING! Cockroaches, if you need clean sheets you have to put old ones in hallway! Sheets are stained, towels are stained as well! Kids running up and down the hallway. Garbage in common area. Pool but no pool, broken washer and dryer as well as ice machine and vending machines. Dark gloomy lighting! Black mold, rusty shelving and light fixtures. Clogged sink. There’s also a constant smell of urine. Rotten food all over the grounds. A doggie area with a broken trash receptacle and no bags provided. There are 2 ladies that are super sweet at the desk one not so much. The gentlemen that work there are kind also but this place is a dump! As a franchise a brand standard is required, there is none here. There’s no regular housekeeping here. These rooms have not been properly cleaned in years! I mopped my floor and the water was black! This place is a health hazard and needs up be looked into. And anyone can just walk in! Not secure!"

"The hotel is clean but dark inside. It is not easily accessible especially if you travel by public transportation because there is an 11 minute walk to the closest bus stop and major highway. The amenities that were listed as available were not provided and were false advertised. Some of the amenities that are provided such as the seasonal outdoor pool, the fitness center, and the guest laundry are not available as the hotel states which is false advertising. I was told these amenities have been unavailable for guest use for over 3 years and they can not give a time of when these amenities they say they offer will be available again."

"This hotel is an embarrassment! Towels were stained. Hotel smells like cigarettes and the toilet seat in our rooms were a mess. I refused to stay their and demand a refund which I am still fighting to get. Then they tried to keep my security deposit and I didn't even spend one night or even a few hours at this garbage hotel. As soon as we saw the conditions my family immediately left. This place should be closed. Don't believe the advertisement posted and please do not go their and if you have a reservation, cancel it!. "This hotel is not at all what it looks like. Online. Basically it is a make due homeless shelter for people on the housing waiting list. We had a small dog so they put us on that side of the hotel I guess. The room smelled, it was dirty, had no blankets, was not cleaned, the shower had an empty shampoo bottle on the floor of it, sheets were stained, there was hair on the bed, no coffee, half of the outlets didn't work, pillows were tiny, floor was sticky, there was trash all in the foyer, cigarette butts and beer bottles, etc. I called the front desk to ask for clean sheets and she just kept saying, "no ma'am, no sheets". Literally disgusting. No exaggeration. I have photos but it won't let me post them."
