Courtyard by Marriott New Castle

"Was not the best experience with this new hotel. Stayed here twice so far, though the 2nd time was slightly better. During my first visit, none of the 3 staffs greeted me as I enter the lobby to check in. Once checked in, the staff did not acknowledge my Platinum status (which is not a big deal), however, a choice was not presented to me between points or breakfast, or any. Staff also did not inform me where the elevator may be, it was literally handing me the hotel key and that was it. The interaction was short, it was literally … what’s your name and here’s your key to your room type of thing. The staff also DID NOT even check my ID. The hotel and rooms are brand new, however, the quality of the work by the contractor definitely did not do a good job at this hotel. Wallpapers still have glue on them (both rooms for my both stays). The living area faucet was completely loose to include the toilet paper holder in the bathroom. The ceiling paint and wallpaper jobs definitely do not meet the expectation of a new hotel. I start to wonder who they hired to build this hotel and who did the QC on it. Lastly, I was charged a “service charge”. Staff told me this was for parking, AC, heat etc. which is totally ridiculous. I have stayed in the New Castle and Newark, DE, I have not been charged for such fees. This fee was also not disclosed during my booking or at check in. I ultimately did get the fee credit back to me. I consider not to come back to this hotel in the future."

"The rooms were smaller than im use to but they were nice cozy and clean the hotel was clean staff was friendly a bit to noisy and asked way too many personal questions that were out of the norm but other than that it was a great stay abd I would recommend this spot for a quick stay"

"First time visit we were traveling and did not make it in until after 4am. When I called the front desk person was very friendly . Upon our arrival she was waiting up front for us smiling and checked us in . She was all smiles and very helpful . Beautiful hotel everything is amazing . Check out the gym A+"
