"My newborn was hospitalized on day 6 because this office did not read and comply with repeating thyroid testing. Knowing my history and that my baby had labs done (very high & abnormal results) they still didn't do it. I personally obtained the results & took care of the matter. We did call the after hours number and rushed to the ER which was an 8 hour traumatic ordeal. dr Leonard was refusing to call us, only the NP was relaying information back and forth. On the 6-7th hour she finally called and gave us our newborn screening results so we can go elsewhere. She claimed miscommunication but this is clearly medical negligence. I told her she & her nurses who can’t read or listen well should be fired. Thankfully our baby is okay, but all 3 kids are getting out of there before we deal with more medical negligence. My husband just called to cancel all the kids follow up appointments and the receptionist with the heavy smoker voice slammed the phone on him as soon as they opened. The staff is extremely unprofessional & rude. I even had to wait to make a follow up appointment last time because they were scrolling on Facebook and talking about dumb posts. They often yell at parents in person and over the phone, and this tiny office is not equipped for people with disabilities (myself) I really hope someone looks into how dirty this place is and how they don’t understand basic medicine. Bye!"
"Been going here for years with my kids and I love it. The Drs. Are very nice and profesional. All the staff is wounderful."
"Doctors and Nurses love their job. My kids are very healthy so they aren’t in the office often but when we are my kids are happy to be there. That’s right my kids love going to the doctors."
"I grew up going here and i had to switch. Each year they are getting worse and worse. Made an emergency appointment was told to come in for a appt. 2/10 times i will be seen at correct time. 8/10 times i am waiting OVER AN HOUR to be seen. Appointments are useless with them better off making a appt with urgent care to be seen on time. They need to be honest with patient times and considerate about it because they have no respect to run on peoples times. Either stop over booking or get more doctors/staff."
"Do you want an office with friendly receptionists, capable nurses, and knowledgeable doctors who stay up to date with current recommendations? Then stay far, far away from Kids Care. The receptionist/office manager is the rudest person I've ever met in a medical setting. Hands down. She truly dislikes her job and I can't have illwill towards her for being miserable. But don't make us all put up with it just because you're suffering. I have heard these women badmouth more patients' parents than I can count. You can't escape it. I hear the sound of them chatting with the nurse talking bad about whoever they were just talking to on the phone from wherever we are in the office. They will make you call in to check in and put you on hold for 10 minutes so they can finish their food. There is only one waiting room so if you are there for a well visit, your kid is leaving with 3 different viruses. Will your child's measurements be correct? Nope. They won't even go over your baby's growth during the visit. You will need to track that yourself and bring up any concerns to them, they won't do it themselves. If you're an anti-vaxxer, you will LOVE this office. If you care about immunizing your child as per the AAP and CDC recommended and approved schedule, you're out of luck. They abide by a delayed immunization schedule based on an arbitrary theory about limiting the amount of shots in a visit. Giving fewer shots more frequently has been PROVEN to make needle anxiety worse in children. Vaccines are not the only thing they don't follow standard modern recommendations for! I was told to start solids at 4 months (current guidelines recommend after 6 months, especially for those doing BLW), I was told to put sunblock on my 3 month old (sunblock should never be used under 6 months of age). I had to stop going to the pediatrician for advice with my infant and go directly to AAP's website for the first 6 months of his life because I couldn't trust the doctors to not give us outdated advice. It's not hard to stay updated with current guidelines, especially for someone in the medical field. And if they're wrong about things I can stay updated about, how can I trust them when an actual medical situation arises? I understand I'm a stickler for things a lot of people wouldn't think of. So maybe all of that is okay for you, which fine, you do you. But the straw that broke the camels back for us was watching the PA Claire drop a light (that thing they use to check the baby's ears) on my baby's body and not even mentioning it like if she ignored it I wouldn't have noticed. He had a red mark on his body from it, when I said something she brushed it off "he's fine" but couldn't even say sorry? Yes I know it didn't really hurt him but put on your big girl panties and own up to your mistake. She's completely incompetent. Don't trust that woman with your child. We are happily skipping away to a new pediatrician that follows and stays updated with AAP guidelines and new medical developments. An office that has same day sick appts with actual doctors, one that separates sick from well patients, returns voicemails, and is friendly with patients families. You can't put a price on trust. You can however make going to the pediatrician more pleasant. Kids Care ain't it."
