"We dined at this restaurant on a bustling Saturday night. The place was brimming with patrons. Upon entering, the decor transported us to a bygone era, creating a charming ambiance. However, the culinary experience was a letdown. Our order of fried calamari was passable, but the Prime Rib, priced at $85, arrived cold. Despite informing the waitress and having it reheated, the dish lacked any discernible flavor. Salt, pepper, and sauces failed to salvage it, rendering it inedible. The Chilean Sea Bass, priced at $45, exhibited signs of being less than fresh. Its texture resembled dry cod fish, lacking flavor and necessitating the use of a steak knife. We paid $220 for food that was far from palatable. Surprisingly, this marked my first complaint at a restaurant, and there was not even an apology. I strongly advise steering clear of this establishment."

"Dinner with daughter while visiting Manhattan. Wanted to eat at the oldest continues operating steakhouse in the country so we went to Old Homestead Restaurant. Overall experience was a bit dissopointing and was hoping for better. The bread presentation was unique, the crab cake appetizer was top nothch, and the wedge salad was a good start. I had the house ribeye and my daughter had the to sirloin. The ribeye was clearly the better choice as the serlion was tough and dry. The atmosphere felt regimented, dry, and tired while the service was much to pragmatic lacking any personal touch. Serve em up, move em out. Glad we stopped in but will try other NY steakhouses before returning."

"A delicious bite of history. Good wine selections, outstanding french onion soup. My ribeye was perfectly cooked, went nicely with a baked potato and asparagus with hollandaise, and as full as I was, I was sad my steak was gone when i finished gnawing on the bone."
