"This has been the worst experience and nothing but a money grab by the Next Street. I paid for an OT driving evaluation, the full 30 hour class with 8 hours of driving and an additional 10 hours of individual instruction for my daughter totaling over $2,500. The instructor driving lessons are impossible to schedule. They are a generic call center and they will constantly tell you there is no appointments available. I tried to schedule her road test over 2 months in advance the moment their email notice came out that dates to schedule were available... no surprise that when I called they said no appointments were available in Norwalk but offered to see if they could fit us in over 2 hours away in Avon, CT!! I tried to get her certificate to just have her test at the DMV and their record keeping is so bad that they do not even have most of her lessons in her record and they are telling me she does not have the requirements to be able to issue a certificate. This is due to their poor record keeping, not any other issue. Since they can not schedule her driving test due to no appointments available, and they will not issue the certificate due to their own poor record keeping... they are now telling me when her permit expires she will have to start from scratch. No way I would pay this company for any more lessons. Just awful customer service, record keeping and administration. If you want a call center that only can take your credit card payment, then use this company... EDIT: and after all this she failed her test. Clearly, the instruction doesn't work either.."
"The positive part is they offer zoom classes. The negative parts: the availability of driving lessons locally were not ideal. I had to cancel that part but they did refund me. The real issue is the teacher my son had. Let's just call her Ms. D. She booted him from a Zoom class for being 5 min late from break. Perhaps that is the policy but it was ridiculous. He had to retake the class. I called to find out why this happened and they explained. the very next class she called out my son in front of everybody and said she never wanted to hear from a parent again. From then on she picked on him several times accusing him of not paying attention or playing games (all untrue) She was simply nasty. I did report her after he completed all his classes. This is more a complaint against her. completely unprofessional."
"Sarah Heywood helped me throughout 15 fun classes, making driver's ed easy to understand and enjoyable. She gave us fun Kahoots and word searches to help us retain information between note taking and was never late for class. With the information she gave us I was able to take enough notes and retain enough information to score the highest in class on both my midterm AND final! Thank you Sarah!"
"My experience was alright. I didn't think the full 30hrs was necessary, and most of it was repetitive. You are better off doing the 8hr, but we did the 30hr for the insurance. It was a hit or miss with my instructors. I had to do a lot of makeup because Saturdays weren't the best times. Customer service was the same way as well; you either got somebody good or somebody terrible. The drives themselves were overall not the best. My driver, that I had on two occasions, made me stop both times back to the building to use the bathroom. The first time was ok, but the second time he spent 20 mins in the bathroom during my two-hour lesson. Also, he would never correct my mistakes on the road... Once we parked, he would expect me to recite what I did wrong or unload his thoughts there and then. I was taught a few good things and helped with parking."
"The class was very helpful and thoroughly covered all the topics and subjects needed for the permit test and the road test. I had a great experience! The instructor was kind and easy going and the environment was productive. We watched different movies that positively supplemented the teaching. The class was a small size which was good because it was easy to ask questions and participate. It was also easy to sign up for driving classes online. All in all, I really enjoyed my time with All Star and they prepared me well for the license test."
