"Jennifer is kind, warm, knowledgeable, and willing to challenge clients in a supportive way when they need it. She is deeply passionate about her work and cares about her clients in way that suggests she was born to be a therapist. She is a wonderful colleague and I have referred several clients to her with very positive results. Highly recommend!"
"I came to Ms. Hoffman in April 0f 2016. I had suffered a lot of emotional trauma from my workplace environments. I was also suffering from anxiety, and being unable to drive on the interstate. Add to all of this, my mom was very ill, and eventually passed away in May of 2017. I met with Ms. Hoffman every other week. Looking back on the situation, that wasn't nearly enough, and, I am not sure even to this day if it was because she didn't have time in her schedule to see me more frequently, or thought I didn't need to be seen more often. The sessions were more like expensive coffee chats than anything therapeutic that helped me to progress, heal and cope with the situations in my life. Ms. Hoffman believed that I needed to "socialize more", and had me going to events where I could "meet new people". During one of my last sessions with her, she said, "Maybe you should get a dog?" Then, Ms. Hoffman informed me in December of 2017 that she would no longer accept my insurance carrier, but, I could say on until the following February, when the benefits expired. I was very upset about being dropped in that manner. In fact, I cried during the drive home; I was so angry. Then, once I got myself together, I decided that I would not be returning to Ms. Hoffman. Since late December of 2017, I found another therapist, with whom initially I met once a week, then every two weeks. Now, we meet once a month. The new therapist has helped me to not only cope with my mother's death - for which Ms. Hoffman did nothing - but also with a lot of the previous emotional scarring from the collective workplace trauma I suffered. The new therapist also led me to make changes which have made my career life more productive. I have shared the aforementioned with Ms. Hoffman, so it should come as no surprise to her. Needless to say, after the time and money I spent with Ms. Hoffman, she didn't really help me. At least, not in the ways that were most important and necessary. She mis-diagnosed my needs. For my own part, I had reservations about Ms. Hoffman back in June of 2016, and had shared my feelings with a friend who is also a therapist. I regret that I had not listened to myself then."
"Jennifer is a wonderful colleague and therapist. She has warmth, compassion and understanding ,which makes her so easy to talk to and approachable. Her extensive knowledge on trauma, anxiety, life transitions and how the brain works is exceptional. Jennifer is also fantastic supervisor and does amazing work with clients using EMDR. I would highly recommend Jennifer as a therapist to those looking to gain insight to their trauma, life transitions and/or looking to heal and work on positive healthy coping skills in order to live their best life."
"I have known Jennifer for over 11 years. We are both social workers. As an EMDR therapist there is no one else locally I would refer to. We have collaborated on cases and often consult with her. Her clinical skills are excellent. Jennifer is personable and friendly. She is a true professional. If you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, transition give Jennifer a call. I highly recommend every time."
"I came to Jennifer with a lot of debris from relationships, addictive behaviors and more. As a former health care professional myself I didn’t think she will share with me anything new but wow! was I wrong. I thought that with the baggage I carried she wouldn’t have the time or patience to deal with me and she proved me she’s educated and well prepared for my challenge. She gave me the space and time for me to be able to open up about my issues. She helped me discovered other issues as well which I was not aware. She taught me techniques that assisted me during difficult times while at home and most importantly she was always available via phone or emails. Having Jennifer as my therapist has stabilized my whole life. If you are looking for the right profesional that will hold your spiritual hand and walk the correct healing path please don’t look any further. She’s the one! Thanks."
