"This location is in hartford Hospital. We have been in the emergency room for almost 13 hours. The people at Panera bread have made it more tolerable. Delicious muffins and wicked hot coffee are great. It's the people. That's what makes this work. Going the extra mile. Being friendly, being gracious. Thank you so much. Especially Irene!"
"Sandwich bread for tuna fish is hard and tastes stale. I actually felt insulted that they know they are selling and preparing old bread. I brought two terrible tuna fish sandwiches. I won't buy there again."
"The food, as usual, was good. I remembered why I don't go to Panera. I ordered a green goddess salad with no lettuce. I got "the look." Why? If I specifically say no lettuce, I probably know I'm ordering a salad with no lettuce. Another day, I ordered a strawberry smoothie and a strawberry & banana smoothie. Not only were they not labeled, but they were both strawberry. On a different day, I ordered another green goddess salad with no lettuce. There was the tiniest sliver of avocado, one of the main reasons I ordered the salad. I honestly am only continuing to order food there because it is inside the hospital where my daughter was. I keep trying Panera because the food is good but have problems getting the simple orders correct, never mind the whole "no lettuce" thing."
"Think of the Keystone Cops trying to run a restaurant. They charged me for an extra drink. Never gave me a spoon for my soup. Gave us two chips and one bread when the slip stated 2 bread and one chip. They forgot the cream cheese with the bagel and neglected to provide a knife with the cream cheese. I gave a star for politeness though."
"This has got to be one of the worst Paneras in terms of issues I've encountered. I've gone probably 8 times since staying at the children's hospital with my son. Here are a list of some of the issues. If you own this establishment do yourself a favor and test your staff by ordering a couple things to see for yourself. 1. First time ordering breakfast to go. Breakfast order was missing and breakfast had just ended so they couldn't fufill my order. 2. Ordered a bagel with cream cheese. Walked back to hospital room to find cream cheese wasn't in the bag. 3. Several orders missing things. No avocado, no chicken on Fuji apple "chicken" salad. No pastry given. Then I walk all the way back for the pastry to find it's sold out. 4. Several orders missing drinks or wrong size drinks. Also the lemonade the other day was super watered down. Just today I was given regular drinks which cost less. Talked to the cashier and was informed no large drink lids. So were you planning on just charging the higher price for smaller drinks? Her recommendation was to flip the reg lids upside down if I wanted large. This was an ok solution but why are you out of lids and charging customers for the larger cup size? Honestly the only reason this is probably still in business is because it's in the main hospital. Please get it together people. The receipt says what's included. If It says +avocado that means to add it. I know to some of you this may seem harsh but I've given them multiple chances to get things right. I think out of eight orders maybe 2 of them didn't have problems. The app for me seemed to be less glitchy than the website."
