"This office has turned into a nightmare to deal with. I have been going here since 2013, when the original doctors were still there. Since they have been bought out by Danbury/Norwalk hospitals under Nuvance health the quality has gone out the window. They do not respond to multiple calls for lab work results, they continually pass you off to various doctors when you try to get in with your primary, and the front desk staff is extremely rude and act as if you're bothering them when you call in or ask a question. Would advise if you are looking for a doctor in the Westport area to find another. This place has an urgent care vibe to it now. Zero continuity on your patient care."
"I have been a patient of Internal Medicine for most of my adult life (67). I have had many medical issues post op Acoustic Neuroma. That was 1985. Drs Berris (passed), Dr. Horn, and now Dr. Strong, whom I have been most fortunate to see. Yes, the front-line healthcare system is stretched. My primary care physicians have been the best. And credentialed. As a PhD myself, I can appreciate this. I did have a poor experience with the portal message system - it seems my message went unread until my follow-up."
"Love my doctor here. But getting an appointment or being able to talk to any human being is a frustrating experience. I've been on hold for over 35 minutes (just today), and this kind of wait is what I've come to expect. I hope that this practice overall can find a way to value its patients' time. Poor office practices."
"My doctor at this practice is great - kind and attentive, makes me feel as though I’m actually being listened to, has helped me with more complicated medical issues. However.. the office is so poorly run. And I mean SO poorly run. I’ve been on hold for 30+ mins at a time just to schedule appointments. It took them 2 months to fill out a one-page medical record form I needed. When I finally received the form, tons of the information was incorrect - as if they filled it out for another patient with a similar name. They told me that they didn’t have any of my medical records from my previous doctor, although they required those records when I became a new patient less than a year before. The receptionists are miserable and seem annoyed when being asked to do any kind of task. It makes me want to switch practices, even though I absolutely love my doctor. That’s how poorly this office is managed. Unless you are willing to tolerate major inconveniences and mistakes due to the staff, I don’t recommend this practice. I would give the doctors 4 stars and the staff 0 if I could."
"If you are looking for a doctor who is responsive and willing to work together on your health issues and general well-being…don’t choose Dr. Stephen Strong or this facility. I was skeptical after my first appointment with him when he decided to double my cholesterol medication without even doing blood work to see what my cholesterol was. Something he never discussed with me and I head to learn about from my pharmacist when I went to pick-up my medication. He does not return phone calls, even when he instructs you to call his office. I have a balance issue, likely an ear infection. We did a telehealth visit on Friday, he gave me some suggestions for the weekend, and if I was not better, I was to call his office Monday for follow-up options. So on Monday I call and leave a message with the nurse/staff. He never returned my call. So I call back on Wednesday and same thing, he never returned my call. The nurse/staff takes a message, says the doctor is out, never returns my call. So today I call again and am told that, despite leaving two prior messages in the past 4 days, the doctor is not returning my call and if I like, I can schedule another telehealth visit. This doctor and facility only cares about money. Plain and simple. You cannot communicate with your doctor unless you book an appointment. Not even for a 5 minute follow-up. They want every second to be fully billable to your insurance. Whatever happened to doctors who understand that patients are people and not cattle? Why can’t a doctor phone a patient with the next steps, especially if THAT IS WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO? Zero accountability. Screwed-up prescriptions with dangerous consequences. In a word: Incompetent. Shame on Dr. Strong for not even being a decent human being. Especially during a time when people are counting on their doctors the most. Edit: He also called and cancelled all my heart-healthy prescriptions he prescribed for me. Did I mention he is vindictive as well? He would rather his patients die unless they cater to his ego. I can understand cancelling a controlled substance but we are talking about medications for heart health."
